My partner (*********************************) called Black Diamond for a quote. On 12/28/2022 a technician was sent to our home to inspect. Upon the completion of the quote, I was given the *** BUG EVALUATION (yellow document), which I was told putting my signature and initials on was ONLY acknowledging that I was given a quote and a preparation list. We were told we have ****************************** order to receive the quoted price. On or about 12/29/2022, ******** called Black Diamond Pest control to schedule an appointment. A confirmation email was the sent to her email address from Black Diamond, and she was instructed to finalize the agreement via electronic signature. ******** never followed through with it. However, now we are being told we will be charge 25% of the original quoted price for cancellation of service. A service which we didnt agree to. The woman I spoke with on the phone insisted that I be charged the 25%, and shes telling me the *** BUG EVALUATION form became a binding contract because ******** called and verbally made an appointment. I feel like that was very deceitful, and if they planned to use that paper as a contract all along, not only should they have notified us of that, but they also should have made sure it was the person whos name is on the account (*********************************) who signed the paper. The Account was in her name and all decisions should have been taken up with her, included the bed bug evaluation form.Business response

This complaint should be removed as there are no charges in collections. If services were to be rescheduled and rendered, there would have been a fee established as the agreement was signed and we have call recordings of all initiated services. This account however, can not be rescheduled as we have the customer flagged in our system as not able to be serviced per very vulgar interactions toward our staff. There was contact made to our corporate office and from that communication, the decision was made to close the account, refuse future service, and cancel fees. This complaint has no intention but to revive a finalized situation and should be removed entirely from the BBB website.
