We hired Hoosier Contractors back in June of 2024. we were told we would have our roof replaced within weeks. Time continued to pass and still no roof. We kept being told that they would get us on the schedule but nothing happened. In October we finally set a deadline of when it must be installed and still no roof replacement. We are now demanding our deposit of $4,235.91 and have been promised for weeks that we would be reimbursed but yet we still do not have any of the deposit money back. We are filing a small claims suit today against them. This has been a complete disaster since they moment they cashed our deposit check. The owners of the company will not even communicate directly with us. They want ****** to be in between and all he ever tells us is that we will get my money but he doesn't know when. We are tired of unfulfilled promises. If you see this, please do not do business with them. We are business owners ourselves. We would never treat customers in this manner.Review from Rob F

All of the staff at Hoosier Contractors did a great job working with our insurance company to get our roof replaced. The crew showed up and wasted no time getting the job done and cleaning up the mess. My 10 year old house looks brand new.Review from Aaron H

House looks great after replacing siding and roof due to hail damage - paid by insurance. They were attentive to my questions throughout the process, and any issues that came up as a result of the way my house was built back in the 60s were remedied at a reasonable price. I paid extra for gutter guards (so glad to have those now)!Review from Carol F

They replaced my ***************** guards in Sept 2021. Less than 2 weeks later rains showed me a waterfall where they didn't put the gutter guards in correctly they just set them on the gutters not snapped them in. Fast forward to 2023 the gutter guards they replaced are warping & popping out, Now in April 2023 within 1 month with 4 -6 calls & numerous promises that they would be out to fix them this week still NOTHING fixed.Review from Joe W

General solicitation and going door to door contacting people that don't want or need their service. Employee driving truck 536 ignored all the signs posted. Even have a sign on my front door that was blatantly ignored. Rude and pushy sales tacticsReview from Nefy G

We are Extremely pleased with Hoosier Contractors!Hoosier Contractors were persistent in getting our home insurance company to pay for damages from two different hailstorms. We've been trying for almost a year to get our roof replaced after our three neighbors had their roofs replaced, but our insurance company kept refusing. What a very professional company, the entire Hoosier Contractor's team were here for us and they did an outstanding job. The job was completed in a day, and we had two layers of shingles that had to be removed. Also, we have an inground pool, the crew even covered it along with all of our plants and shrubs. Following the job, we looked around and they had everything cleaned up and we couldn't find anything damaged.....totally excellent work, we highly recommend Hoosier Contractors for any roofing issues.Hoosier Contractors, LLC Response

PROCEED WITH CAUTION if you choose to hire Hoosier Contractors, LLC. Keep in mind, that I recieved no goods or services from this company which I will explain in complete detail. HC performed a job across the street of which they knocked on my door for a free inspection. Now, I fully communicated that I had already filed 2 claims with another roofing company so 90% of the claim was already complete. In complete misrepresentation, they asked me to sign a piece of paper that "....granted them the right to file a supplemental claim...." with my insurance company based on decking issues with the house. I clearly communicated to thier sales manager that I am NOT committing to using you for our roof until I complete conversations with our current contractor. I communicated that I had signed a contract with another roofing company but had issues with them following up.Fast forward, I was out of town and my wife hears a guy banging on the door as she is in the middle of a mediation demanding that he has an appointment with her (TOTAL lie and thank GOD our nanny was smart enough to understand and have access to both our calendars). Then, on multiple occassions, HC trucks would be seen driving by our house and calling non-stop harrassing us on a work order that neither of us EVER agreed on. Based on the nature of thier "Hard Sell" tactics my wife was very uncomfortable using this company as they would of had to be on our property for a few days. Needless to say, we had our roof completed by a company that aligned to the code of ethics we understand and appreciate. HERE IS THE GOOD PART: IN TYPICAL FASHION, SHOWING THIER TRUE COLORS, THEY THREATENED US WITH PUTTING A LIEN ON OUR HOUSE IF WE DID NOT SEND THEM A CHECK IMMEDIATELY FOR LOST FUEL, ENERGY, ANG TIME. It is very important to understand that ANYONE that deals with this company knows thier LITIGIOUS nature because it will reveal itself if you ever have a problem or seeking a resolution for negligent work.Hoosier Contractors, LLC Response

After reviewing this consumers opinion, Hoosier Contractors feels it is important to respond and stand up for our business and employees. Homeowners hire Hoosier because we have an industry-leading process for helping homeowners repair and restore their properties after a storm or other damage occurs to their property. This homeowners insurance had already approved most of their claim, but the roof decking needed to be replaced in order to do the job in compliance with Indianas Building Code. The contract, and our process, provides Hoosier the right to inform the homeowners insurance company of additional damage or necessary repairs so that a determination can be made as to whether insurance or the homeowner is responsible for paying for the new decking. This is a service to our customers, and so we are not sure why this customer complained about us doing our job, especially when this is what we were hired to do. While most homeowners usually complain about contractors not showing up or doing what they promised, this homeowner (who admits to signing multiple contracts with different contractors for the same work) is complaining that Hoosier Contractors was diligent in doing our job after they signed a contract and hired us to perform their work. On account of this, Hoosier Contractors no longer trusts this homeowner and would like to set the record straight that their review contains many inaccuracies to try and justify their wrongful actions. We spent time, money and energy fulfilling our contractual obligations to this customer and to date have not been compensated for it. Importantly, there is a big difference between obtaining estimates before a contract is signed and entering into a contract for repairs that are covered by insurance. Once the contract was signed, the sale part of our process was complete. Hoosier Contractors efforts described in this review were not to get a sale but were to perform our obligations under the contract we signed with this homeowner. We feel it is important for consumers and our customers to know that we are diligent and take our contracts, jobs, and customers seriously.
