I purchase a truck from JX Truck Center on 05-05-22 and the next day the truck was returned to them because it was smoking so bad that people were honking at me 5 miles from taking the truck from JX property. JX told me that this truck had been checked out and that it was road ready, and I purchased the largest warranty package that they had for the truck, which was almost ****** dollars itself. JX used the warranty that I purchased in an attempt to band aid repair the truck by cleaning filters and hoping that this would stop the smoking long enough to get me to take the truck. When this repair did not stop the smoking, one of the service men there told me that the truck would eventually need and engine. Then he later tried to shift the conversation and tell me that it could be injectors and that injectors are engine components. This is not true, injectors supply fuel to the engine and the warranty has the engine and the injectors separated because the injectors are not engine components. JX has had the truck for almost a month and refuse to refund me the money that I paid ********** and is trying too deliberately pass a truck to me that is not road ready, and they are using warranty that I paid for to do this to me.Business response

Good morning. ***************************** did purchase a truck from one of our ******** locations. Truck was sold as is but when ****** brought the unit back for an issue JX stood behind it. The complaint was smoke coming out of the stack going down the road. We worked with Cummins to try and find the problem. At no point was this unit needing a motor. Cummins had us testing the injectors for over-fueling and had us run the overhead. We did have to send the *** out and DOC to be cleaned. That was not to mask anything. That was because they were plugged up. We then road tested the unit and everything appeared normal. ******************** picked up the unit and came back in a couple hours saying it started to smoke again. We pulled the unit in and got with Cummins again. After going back and forth we found that the *** was defective. We took a test *** and ran the unit and it did not smoke. So we proceeded to replace the ***. We then notified ******************** that the unit was ready. JX did not charge ******************** for any of the repairs. As of this minute he still has not picked up the unit.
