******* came to my house today to give me an estimate on replacing my tub. He was very friendly and explained everything in a way that I, a non-construction minded person, could understand. The quality of the products used to construct the tub and walls was more sturdy than I was expecting. He was very understanding when I told him that I like to get 3 estimates when I spend a lot of money. The estimate was within my budget and I will probably go with this company. Signed contract last month for 16 new windows. Salesman ********************* said all permits would be taken care of by Universal Windows. I live in a historic district where home improvements must be approved by members of a board. They require photos, material, color and measurements of the windows. It seems to be a problem for UWD to do this. I provided the sales Mgr *** with the email to send the information. I called the permit **** in my town yesterday and was told this hasn't happened yet. They will not return my phone calls and my 1st payment is due on the 09/14/2023. Thank you, *******************************Universal Windows Direct of Indianapolis Response

We hired Universal Windows to replace 4 windows at a rental. We signed a contract with them and about 8 weeks later they called to schedule the installation. When the installer arrived he realized that ALL of the windows had been miss measured. He remeasured the windows and said the someone from UW would be calling us. We never heard from them. I called and made contact with a person by the name of ****** who informed me he needed to speak with his regional manager and would call me back. He never called back. I made 3 more calls to them within a months time with no one ever returning my call. The windows are installed and are what we ordered but I will not use them for any other projects. We were also told that they don't contract out workers but the installer told us he was a contract worker. Very poor customer service.Universal Windows Direct of Indianapolis Response

Universal windows direct has done an outstanding job. Crew showed up on time and got to it. Windows looks amazing. The crew did an outstanding job. Working in nasty weather but still getting it done. How this company achieved an A rating on here blows my mind. Im not sure where to begin. Took ***** months to install three items.. back door slider, which had to be reinstalled. Its still not right and never will be. They installed a broken front door when I questioned why would you install a broken product to begin with? Response.. well I got the ticket and have to complete the job. Security door wouldnt even close all the way. 8k and got s*** a** workmanship. They never call you back. They are a pojack company. It doesnt take ***** months to install a slider and a front door. That a weekend job. They use subs and their subs **** at their job. Now note the response we receive upon this post. Same response to every complaint..automated and that what you get in quality of work. SMH.Universal Windows Direct of Indianapolis Response

No issues so far. Installer was alittle behind schedule but showed and was very nice and professional. Windows look great from the inside. Hard to tell on the outside cause they are on second *************. Overall happy ??Universal Windows Direct of Indianapolis Response

The price for these windows does not reflect the quality or service we anticipated.After the initial sales appointment (of course), poor communication created several issues. Our walk-through appointment (for measurements) was canceled the morning of (after taking off work). The technician was then late for the rescheduled appointment.The original install date should have been around October. However, the sales rep (at the time - ****************) failed to finalize the order, and windows were delayed. As the issues continued, mainly the point in which our order we thought was coming wasn't, I tried to contact the sales rep/manager, calling multiple times before installing, no response. I never received a response via e-mail either. However, they did you contact my husband. We proceeded, and I wish we had not.Windows were installed on 01/04 & 01/05 (we requested this date) after coming in around December 23. They wanted to install them around the 29th. We wanted to push it out further because it was so close to the holidays. If we did, we were told we would be charged additional storage fees, "it's in your contract."I called today (4:17 PM) and spoke with *******, who was very cordial and stated that the manager was unavailable. I believe he mentioned they were in a meeting. Notated my concerns and said someone would call me tomorrow, that (now) they were gone for the day as they start at 7:00 AM and leave at 4:00 PM. The manager who will be calling me is ***************Out of the 17 windows, we have problems with more than half. The trim on one window is dented, another is bowing, several are scuffed, and ****************** has a visible deep ***** in the center. Glass and screws were left in the driveway where their clean-up pile had been.On the plus side, the crew (install team) was fast, efficient, and friendly.Universal Windows Direct of Indianapolis Response
