To Whom It May ******** I leased a car from the Audi Lafayette Dealership in ******* on April 15 of this year. I signed all documents in front of the loan officer, the way he asked me to sign. One week later, I was asked to sign the documents again, due to the fact that ************** did not accept how they were signed. I have re-signed them, the way I was asked to, once again. Since then, I had to re-sign the papers three more times, because every time there was an error on their end. I have done that without complaining about the hassle. The car title paperwork was sent to ******** Secretary of State in *********** on May 17, one month after I leased the vehicle, even though the requirement is to be registered with the ** State within 2 weeks of purchasing the car. The temporary license plates were issued on April 15 and expired on May 31. I asked the dealership multiple times to send me and extension for the temporary license plates and they refused to do so saying that is not their problem. I have also left voicemails for the general manager of the dealership which went unresponded. This caused me a lot of discomfort and stress, and I am not able to drive my car anymore since the temporary plates expired, even though I am paying for the car. Your help with this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!Business response

The date of this original deal was 4/15 (deal #*****). On the 18th of April, AFS kicked the contract due to the way that CDK had populated the customer's status as co-sign as opposed to the way the application was submitted, listing him as the guarantor. We were required to recontract the customer which required that the original deal be unwound and copied, when the customer signed, he did not sign as directed so this contract was kicked, requiring us to send out another.
The dates were corrected and updated title applications and RUT-25-LSE forms were sent to the customer to be signed. These were returned to us and the title work for the deal was sent out to the state of IL on 5/17.
The customer's wife called in towards the end of May to inquire about us issuing an additional temporary tag as the expiration date was approaching on the one that was issued to them back on 4/15 (45 days to expiration). We did inform them that we were unable to issue additional temporary tags due to state guidelines and shared with them the tracking information that they could reference when contacting their state licensing office to make a request for a temporary tag from IL. The customer was not satisfied with this response, even though we did inform them at the time of delivery that the state of IL was experiencing much longer than normal processing times on titles and registrations.
