Got a replacement certificate from Michigan bulb for $32.22 from 8/17/22 for plants that didn't survive delivery. I was disabled last year and now found out Michigan bulb is no longer in business. What company will honor my repace.ent certificate? Thanks for your timeBusiness response

I purchased Mixed ********** from Michigan bulb company last year and the plants never came up. I was issued a "replacement certificate" in the amount of $50.97. I just found out about their financial problems with trying to redeem this certificate. Can I be credited that amount to my original form of payment which was my credit card? I received a gift certificate to Michigan Bulb for $100 as a gift in May of 2023. The gift certificate states that it does not expire. I couldn't find anything I wanted order from them at that time so I planned to order something now, this spring. The company has apparently gone out of business. I would like to know if any other companies are honoring these gift certificates and, if not, get $100 from Michigan Bulb.Business response

I have four (4) replacement certificates totalling $102.95. I have called the phone # listed (last fall - 2023) and was told I would receive a catalog to order from, and that the company was merging with Spring Hill. The account #******** assigned by both companies is the same. My question is whether Spring Hill is responsible now to honor these replacement certificates? I purchased $99.57 on plants in September of 2023. The plants were dead on arrival except for the bulbs which could not be deciphered at the time, but I planted and none came up. Their written policy is to replace anything within a year or refund it. Their website has been taken down and only displays a message that they are out of business. Is there any way for me to get my money back?Business response

I placed order #30620589000 with Michigan Bulb in March, which was a combination of using store credit and paying for the rest of the order on my credit card. In May, I received a "past due" letter from Michigan Bulb. I emailed them on May 30 asking why I received this, since I settled my order with them when I placed it and did not expect any surprise charges. I followed up with them again in June and July, and never heard back. It was for $20. I now received a letter from a collection agency for $66 dollars. I don't know why they have ignored me constantly despite being a repeat customer, and instead sent me to a collection agency? For an expense I shouldn't need to pay (what was it for??? I checked out when ordering!)Business response

April I ordered 3 elephant Ear bulbs. When they arrived I planted the bulbs once frost was no longer an issue. July 2nd the first bulb bloomed. That's it, the other two was dead. Wasted the recent season. Out of 3 bulbs, just 1 bloomed, the other died. Not a good track record. I no longer want to do business with this company nor do I want store credit. I want my money as well as shipping returned.Business response

I prefer a refund...3 of my peonies died they replaced them with 3 more but they were dead upon arrival. I tried to plant them in good soil but they were too dry when they arrived. BBB did help me the first time with replacement and the gift of 25.00 they posted is invalid.... not buying again got burned too many times. Its not the same place to buy plants from any more.Business response
