I work for an agency that helps provide resources to those in need. My agency had covered a hotel stay for someone and the room was pre-paid for. My client was asked to leave due to violating the smoking policy. They have refused to reimburse any of the 14 day stay, even those she was only there for 2 days. When I went to inquire about this, the hotel staff were rude, hung up on me, refused to give me corporates phone number, and wouldnt give me any names. I went in there directly and spoke with the manager, ***, who allowed his staff to verbally berate me in front of guests. Highly unprofessional and the hotel is disgusting.

I went to Muncie, IN on November 17th but accidentally booked 2 hotels for the same trip.I called Days Inn and asked if I could cancel my reservation and have the fee waived. They said since I had booked through Expedia I would have to call them. So I did, but when Expedia contacted Days Inn, they still refused to waive the fee.So I had Expedia cancel my other reservation. Yet upon arriving at Days Inn, I was informed that my reservation there had been canceled. At no time did I instruct Days Inn or Expedia to follow through with the cancellation of the reservation.Expedia said they did not cancel the Days Inn reservation, but canceled the other reservation as requested. So Days Inn canceled the reservation without authorization and told me that in order to get a room I would need to make a new reservation and that I would have to pay for both the initial, now canceled reservation, as well as the new one.Days Inn refused to waive the fee as a courtesy since I had accidentally booked two rooms for the same dates. They then canceled the room reservation without authorization and still charged me for it. On top of that they also tried to charge me for a 2nd reservation, rather than giving me the room I had originally booked. Days Inn told Expedia that this was the 2nd time I had canceled a booking and requested a waiver. They said they had granted the first waiver but they were not going to do it again. But this is not true. I have never before canceled a booking and requested a waiver. The only reason I did it this time was because I had accidentally booked two rooms. So I wrote to Wyndham properties which owns Days Inn and asked them to refund the amount I was charged for the room that I was not allowed to stay in. However they simply gave me the run around telling me to contact the website or travel agency with whom I had originally booked (even though I explained in my message that I already had done that).

Company states the consumer made two reservations. each was on a separate website. They refunded one as they were told it was a mistake. However the consumer did not show and was charged for the 2nd reservation. There is no refund due.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response in no way shape or form resolves my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The hotel alleges that I made two separate reservations on separate websites, that one was refunded and that I did not show.

Every bit of this is totally and completely false. I did not make separate reservations on separate websites. I never received any refund from Days Inn and as I stated in my original complaint, I DID show up at Days Inn (and I have a witness to this fact), only to be told my reservation had been canceled even though I did not cancel it.

      Regards,
