faulty gas pump at the marathon located at *** * ***** **, ******** ** *****. On Saturday January 15th I stopped at the Marathon around 8:30pm to get gas. I drive a 2021 black Hyundai Elantra as I’m sure it can be seen on the security cameras. I paid at the pump and got into my car to wait for the pump to finish. I was in my car the full time watching that the pump was putting gas into my car. When I get out of my car, I see that there was a malfunction in their gas pump and it had not stopped when it was supposed to. I have a small car and the pump put $80 worth of gas (25.8 gallons) into my tank. There was gas all around the car as it had overflowed. I contacted them about a refund and they refuse to issue one. When I went into the gas station at the time of the incident I was assured by the employees at that time that I would receive a refund for the extra gas. However, now they are refusing to issue any refundBusiness response

In regards to the complaint from ******* *****
Customer left her pump unattended while filling up. The gas ran over while she was sitting in her car. Allison spoke with weights and measures and he told her it was in no way the companies fault, and also told her it is against the law to leave the pump unattended, and also that getting back in her car could possibly cause a spark that could ignite the pumps. I told Allison this as well and she proceeded to be rude to me and other employees she spoke with. I told her I was sorry for the inconvenience, but the gas she spilt by leaving the pump unattended was money we were out as well.
