            On July 7, 2022, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Vornado Air LLC has agreed to pay a $7.5 million civil penalty, resolving charges that the company failed to immediately report to the CPSC that its VH101 Personal Vortex electric space heater contained a defect or created an unreasonable risk of serious injury. Vornado recalled the heater on April 4, 2018. The recall was re-announced on August 22, 2018. The CPSC charged the company with having information about the defect as early as 2014 but failing to report it. This was the second failure to report case involving Vornado, which paid a $500,000 civil penalty to the CPSC after it failed to immediately report overheating and fire incidents involving space heaters between 1993 and 2004.             Some years ago, I purchased a large pedestal standing fan model #CR1-0027 from Vornado with a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. I contacted Vornado by emails and provided with them the model number. They admitted that it has a lifetime warranty but the company changed ownership and refused to honor the warranty. They tried to get me to pay 50% of the cost. I find that unacceptable. I informed them that the new owners assume all debts and liability upon acquisition of the company. The successor company must honor and uphold the existing warranty. Vornado has violated the Federal Warranty act and ******** **** ********-Federal Trade Commission Improvements Act. They are in breach of contract, specifically breach of express warranty, and for fraud which was the intentional misrepresentation of a material fact made with knowledge of falsity and with the intent to induce reliance on which I justifiably relied to my detriment. All I want them to do is honor their warranty and acquire a proper quality replacement acceptable in the trade. Please investigate, reprimand and/or prosecute them accordingly. Thank you

            I have a faulty room heater, but cannot contact Vornado by phone because the answering system informs callers that “due to unforeseen circumstances” calls cannot be answered. All other avenues for help [Chat, email, etc] redirect the customer to the phone number. This has been going on for about a week [1/4 - 1/11/2023]. What is happening at Vornado?
