  On January 1, 2022 my family members vehicle was towed by the owner of Alfords towing. My family member could not retrieve the vehicle and offered to sell it to me, which I did purchase it. I then contacted the owner of alfords tow service and discussed the situation and when I could retrieve the vehicle. It was agreed that I would wait until after the upcoming snow event since the tow service would be extremely busy. The amount it was to cost was also agreed upon and it was not to increase based on the additional days as it was requested by the business owner himself. I was going to bring a tow truck to get the vehicle. I contacted the owner after the weather event (2 days as he asked) and he asked me to call him back the following day. I called him back multiple times and left messages but he failed to return my call. Finally after 2 additional days I called from a different number and he answered. I asked him if it was a good time for me to come get the car and he told me they took it to auction. I asked him how and why he would do this as we had an agreement and he began to curse me and hang up on me. I continued to call him back demanding he make my vehicle available to me. He finally said he would go get it and I was paying at least $**** to pick it up instead of the amount we originally agreed. I said fine and told him I would be on my way. He once again began cursing at me and changed his mind and hung up on me. I live in a neighboring state and he seemed surprised I was willing to pay the amount and come get the vehicle so when I did, he became impossible and refused to give me the automobile. I would like to add that I have all the phone conversations not only witnessed by others but recorded as well. I will be researching who the governing body over the tow services in the state ********* are and filing a report with them as well.

He didn't have proof of ownership and he didn't contact me until after the car went to auction. I did all my paperwork In compliance to ****** statute ** 8-1103 and none of the paperwork showed they owned the car. I notified the owner by certified letter. This man filing the complaint had no rights to the vehicle and therefore I didn't have to discuss anything with him regarding the vehicle
