contractor was not registred as a Kansas roofing contractor as required. Contractor did not tell me his roofing registration was in revoked status when he took the roofing repair job. My home has wind/hail damage.1

*** ***** is not correct in hi complaint. I have not had a problem with this customer until I requested a draw for work completed. I have tried working with him to no avail. As far as my license, he is correct that it was revoked, but when I called the state, I found out that my bookkeeper had not sent in my renewal funds and once I found out and had it sent in they sent me my renewal. It was not because I had done something wrong or illegal. I refused to fo any more work on his house until he paid the draw as per our contract.As far as the work on the house it was completed the way the insurance company allowed and wanted done, but he didn't like the the shakes mixed in wit the old ones. He actually wanted me to stain them to match the old ones. I would be happy to finish the work on the house as per contract once he pays my draw and puts the remainder of money due in an escrow account,thus assuring me I will be paid. Please consider my complete reply that went over the time frame. It is pertinent to the successful resolution of the case**** ****** know when he consented to make the repairs on my home that his registration was revoked and had I known same I would not have hired him. *** ****** appears to have a problem with people he can not control. He repeated many time that I did not understand and seemed more interested in the money than repairing my home. I never dealt with a draw used as a contract and/or an invoice. In a dispute the draw seemed to have no legal standing as a contract or as an invoice.
