I have attached the owner's claims and my response email that details out the timeline, but in summary: -Davenport Services performed a duct cleaning at our home at ***** * ******** ** on 5/18/2021. Technician that performed services, "****", is no longer with Davenport Services. -After noticing the continued error message on the dryer, we reported to Davenport Services that we were still receiving the error message that the dryer duct was 80%+ blocked. -Made Davenport Services aware of the issue, and received a voicemail back on 6/7/2021 stating the work was completed and to contact the dryer company because the issue is with the dryer. -Once dryer stopped working at normal capacity (new dryer), brought out a separate HVAC company to clean the duct since we saw issues after three weeks with Davenport Services. This was on 4/29/2022. -Separate HVAC Company found that Davenport Services did not clean out dryer and perform any of the services they claim. Even after a year, they stated the accumulation they saw would not happen in that timeframe. -Contacted Davenport Services and was offered services at a discounted rate. -Told them we would like to be refunded $200 for the services rendered by the separate HVAC company and to cancel all future services, otherwise we would post our review (as they send emails requesting us post reviews) on our experience. -Got accused of blackmail and extortion by Davenport Services owner, **** ********* (see attached email) -Offered full details and timeline in response email (email attached) and included next actions. Open to further discussion if needed. I would also like to post a review about my experience after. In addition, it looks like the BBB has two businesses posted for Davenport Services. Would like to combine them so there isn't confusion.Customer response

Davenport Services offers free ********* gift cards to people that leave five star reviews on their website after services are rendered. However, when my services were not satisfactory and I told Davenport Services I would post a review of my poor experience, I got accused of blackmail and extortion. It seems to be a poor business practice to encourage five star reviews, threaten on negative reviews, then boast about your 4.9 star rating on ******. I would like this to be investigated and would like to know if this is allowed. At a minimum, I would like this to no longer be advertised by them if they are paying for the reviews. Or have the reviews that they paid for removed from ******.
