The owner of town and country motors sold me a 2013 Nissan sentra that was wrecked and transmission is going out. He then told me after I paid $4400 and drove it the first day and immediately noticed the transmission slipping severely to drive the car until the transmission goes out and he will replace it. The transmission goes out I tow my car up there and he drives it his self and makes it his personal car for a week and puts 300 miles on my car then tells me it will be ready for pickup the following monday with a new transmission. Then Monday comes and he says its as is and i cant get a refund or trade in and he cancelled my transmission order. One lie after another now i am out of $5k and no car and he knew i was a single mom with 2 kids! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER!!!!! Now there is a lean on my title for $800 but he is suppose to pay 50% parts and labor for my new transmission but after I signed it he changed the percentage to 25% and sent the copy in a text message a week later. I have paid $4400 for a car i only drove 2 hours and the dealer put 300 miles on my car while it was at his shop supposely getting transmission replaced which was all a LIE!Business response

The customer clearly wrote this complaint in a very emotional state, and it does not accurately reflect the events that occurred. We have since spoken about the conditions of her purchase
and have come to a mutual agreement in which all parties are satisfied. The customer has also reached out to me and apologized for her harsh comments and is now hopefully happy with her

I am rejecting this response because: I am everything but happy with my purchase. I blame myself for not thoroughly checking the car and believing what the dealer told me that the car "drove great with no issues". However, My car is still sitting waiting on transmission to be replaced. I did however contact the dealer who stated he could get me the new transmission from Nissan for $2050 instead of the $2500 they are going to charge me which was extremely nice of him. I did apologize for the lawsuit threats and comments to make amends, as there is nothing else I can do but fix the car. However, I am still out of an additional $3000-$4500 for a car I paid $4550 for totaling $7400- $9000 for a car that is only worth $3000. The car was also wrecked in the front back and side with replaced parts and still currently has 3 major dents. Again, in order to be at peace I accepted what happened but I am by far happy with my purchase, that was never said. Again, I left my car there a week and was told he ordered me a new transmission and it would be ready for pickup with the new transmission Monday. Then Monday at 11am when I thought I was on my way to pick it up, he told me it was as is. I have the estimate from ********** ************ in Grandview, MO that the transmission was indeed bad and cost $4450 to fix the car more than i paid for it. He did take off $600 from the original $5200 he charged for the car which was nice of him.
