In August 2021 we took our 2013 **** ***** to ***** ****** ****** Quick Lane on **** ** ********* *** ******* ** ***** for a factory recall/warranty issue. We were told it was taking time to get the part in and they didn't know when it would be available. We were also told that we could not take the car off the lot or it would void the warranty on the issue. We then asked if it was going to be there for an extended time if they would regularly start the car so that it wasn't just sitting and causing more issues. They assured us that they would. Over the next year and a half we called to check on the progress of the fix and if they were taking care to start the car and run it regularly, to which they assured us they were. Finally on 02/22/2023 they called and let us know that they finally received the part and that in order to make sure it was running properly that we needed to buy a new battery to start the car because it sat unattended for 1.5 years. They also sent a list of other repairs needed because it sat for that time without being started or run. The total of repairs they are claiming is $********. We let them know that they are liable for those repairs as they happened as a result of them not starting the car or caring for it as promised. I asked for the GM to call me. As of today, 03/14/2023 we have not received any further contact from them. We believe that they should return the vehicle to us in the condition we left it there 1.5 years ago with the recall/warranty issue fixed. We will be happy to replace the wiper blades but the other services needed are due to the negligence of the shop and should be taken care of by the shop. I have uploaded the Repair Estimate they sent us that states that the issues are due to their lack of action.Business response

We got all the additiional charges covered by **** ***** Company and we as the dealer paid for the flushes that were recommended. Customer did not have to pay the $**** repair bill. We have left messages with the consumer that the vehicle is done and ready for pickup. We will follow up with the customer again today.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. (Today 04/12/2023 was the first response that we have received from them. We have not received any other messages.)
