August 5, 2023, I went to Salon Brands in Wichita, KS and had a haircut. I also purchased a hair dryer. The haircut and purchase of the hair dryer were completed on the same transaction. The iPad was turned around so I could select a percentage for the tip. I selected 15%. I examined the receipt later and noticed that the 15% was for both the haircut and the hair dryer and the tip came to $22.47. The cost for the haircut was $38.00. I was not informed that the tip was figured on the total cost of the haircut and the hair dryer. Did the hairdresser (Hayle) receive the $22.47 or did the store also benefit? Is this standard practice for the Salon Brands at 7732 E Central, Wichita, Ks? Is this standard practice at all Salon Brands. Do customers realize that they are being cheated? I contacted Salon Brands and asked to speak with the manager over all Salon Brands and was told that I would have to leave my name and phone number and someone from Salon Brands would return my call. They never did call me back.Business response

To Whom It May Concern,
***** is the only one that receives the tip, Salon Brands does not benefit from any tips given. We recently have had alot of turn over at this location and are currently still training the new team to learn all procedures. We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. We are looking into the issues with our POS system and will refund the $22.47. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, this is the first we are hearing of the issue.
