Prime storage is now charging a insurance fee on top of the normal rental fee. I have sent prime storage a copy of my policy declaration page showing that my current insurance covers the items in my storage unit. My insurance has not changed and I have verified that items in storage are covered with my agent. Prime storage will not give me a reason why they are not accepting my insurance as coverage, even though they did the prior year, and charging me an additional $17 a month for their own insurance. This just makes me wonder how many other consumers they are trying to get additional fees out of. I have contacted prime storage many times and they are unable to tell me why they are not accepting my insurance policy. They say there is special wording needed but can not tell me exactly what that is.Customer response

I just want to notify that the prime storage is the one on **** ******* not maize. I thought I had this changed when I submitted it. Sorry for the inconvience.

After almost one full year of trying to get refunded the money I paid in advance for storage, I have finally given up trying to get this settled on my own and need your help. I have stopped into the office multiply times almost EVERY month and kept being told they would talk to the owner, *** ******* ********, and get back with me. I NEVER received a SINGLE call from ANYONE. I just kept stopping by to find out when I would get my refund. Finally on March 28, 2024, ***** told me that ** ******** admitted that I was due this refund that he had been withholding. She said he agreed to mail me a check. She said it would be 2-3 weeks that I would get it in the mail. Today, May 2, 2024, over one MONTH later, I have not received anything. I again stopped by Prime Storage and ***** told me that ** ******** was on vacation and she will talk to him when he gets back on Monday. I am DONE!! Prime Storage seems to be a very untrustworthy business!! I paid $202.00 for rent from 7/18/23 - 8/17/23, I moved out on June 29, 2023. It has almost been one full year and I have still not received a check. My last resort is small claims court if this does not bring results. With the increased living costs now, every penny is needed. See attached receipt. Thank you for your help!Business response

this person is/was not a tenant at this site. They were a tenant at a different location. No one by that name has rented at this location. They filed their complaint against the wrong location.Customer response

Would like to let you know that after ONE YEAR and MANY,MANY phone calls and office visits, I finally received my check that was owed to me from this business. There is NO WAY I will EVER use them again or refer ANYONE to them. ONLY because I filed a complaint with BBB did I get my check. Thank you for your help in resolving this issue.
