Josh ***** started our basement remodel in December 2021 and it’s now 4/20 the job is not complete. The completion date was end of March but he missed so many days for spontaneous vacations, not showing up over 20 days without calling or texting. We had to check to see if he was coming and hold his hand the entire time. The quality of work is not good at all. We have such bad drywall the painter quit. He installed a sink without plumbing so we flooded the kitchen, he installed the oven plug wrong and our basement almost caught fire. When I text him to tell him how upset we were and that we didn’t want him to come back he said he took his tool because he wasn’t coming back anyways. He took over $5,000 and isn’t giving it back even though he won’t be completing the work. So be very cautious in doing business with this guy. He is not trustworthy and he is not dependable.

I missed 14 days due to having covid then the kids had it the following week missed a few days here and there but also traveled hours round trip to get materials and to the job daily actually the plug was out and being installed when I got there yesterday I installed the faucet then realized they didn’t pick out a drain for the sink with the kit tested the water for leaks but forgot to shut off the valve but who turns on a sink with drain materials next to the sink and no drain which was obvious it wasn’t installed the client complains about the time frame but still haven’t picked out their cabinet tops for the living room and half wall haven’t picked out their shelves they want yet it’s all my fault the jobs not done. Painter quit cause we had a falling out painter never said the drywall was bad when painting actually thanked me for it not having a lot of touch ups to do. Drywall touch ups are always going to be present after paint i was just waiting til the end to get that done was working on the other things first then touch up. Client fired me yesterday and I was working there. Planned on finishing the job they choose to fire me I’ve always been trustworthy and finish work they’re just not happy about the time frame changing and now with the wars overseas they had to bring their parents home sooner so they was rushing me to finish causing some subpar work which made me mad that now they are home I have to rush. I took a weekend vacation in February and a week vacation in March which I also worked two weekends they fail to mention who doesn’t take days off over 4 months plus I have kids that require me being home especially the past two weeks since they were on spring break. I planned on finishing this job they fired me yesterday I don’t owe them anything since they decided to fire me when I was working on getting it all done I’m one man it takes crews three four months to finish basement I’d say I’m doing good for it being just me.

Yet more excuses. I have every message that you said you were not coming. Not due to Covid!! That was 3 weeks of its own. The faucet drain is in the basement as well as the butcher block and everything else because we ordered it months ago. You waste so much time because you don’t order your supplies until last min and we have to wait a week to receive it. The drywall is horrible and your work partner sent me a detailed message telling me that’s the reason she wouldn’t finish it. If anyone would like to see pictures of the job, I’m happy to share these because pictures don’t lie.
