On 83/22 I contacted Mr. Handyman to inquire is they had a contractor that was experienced in concrete work. I was informed they had a experienced concrete contractor I informed them of the issue I wanted corrected and they provided me with a estimate of 8 hours for work to be completed. A date of 8/10/22 was scheduled. The contractor Chad arrived and stated he could complete the work. I asked if I need to be present and he stated "no" that he would go purchase the supplies. I returned at 12;30 pm broken up concrete and worker was in his truck. At every check through afternoon worker was in truck, standing or smoking with no progress. I asked was he going to be finished within the 8 hours and he stated he would be finished earlier. The work was incomplete and horrible, concrete uneven not paved correctly. I pointed areas that were not covered and he assured me he would get them. This was not completed. At 5;30 pm worker stated he was done and I said this not correct, stated he could come tomorrow at extra cost. Worker left debris on property stating I had to pay him $50.00 to remove informed I was not informed at time of scheduling asked me contractor bags to clean debris. Called office several times to complain on 8/11 receiver (Mike) refused to give owners name or take message. I had to contact via internet. Owner John arrived on 8/12 to view work, (rails, plants brick wall fountain all have concrete residue, debris left and poor workmanship,stating he would correct but not adjust cost.Business response

I met with the customer to review her concerns and scheduled a follow up to do repairs. I cleaned up debris and discussed repairs we would be doing on 8/30/2022 which include capping the porch and painting the railings. I will also refund the $50 disposal fee she paid that she wasn’t initially informed about. All other charges were communicated during our initial contact with the customer and will stand.Customer response

**** *****I was quoted 8 hours of work and assured they had an experienced contractor. The job went over all over time due to inexperience and professionalism of their worker. I have been emotionally traumatized by this and today it has not been repaired and when will it be correct. I have been more than patient with experience. The did not bring bags to remove debris messed up my fountain and failing all an eye word to my home and left in worse condition than prior and left the porch uneven.

The porch would need to be leveled and sanded appropriately, excess concrete residue removed from house and railings. Railings to be repainted. Crack refilled leveled and sanded in front of porch. front of porch leveled and sanded. I only want to be charged for 8 hours of work, removal of disposal charge. Fountain cleaned has concrete residue on top two levels.

I spoke to the customer a have refunded $121.56 which includes refunding the 45 minute charge over the scheduled 8 hours. We have also completed recapping the porch.Customer response
