I received a notice that I have a collection from Central Emergency Physicians on my credit report. It says it was opened on 07/21/2023 for $935.00 with account number starting in ********** that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the FCRA and FDCPA. I would like for this collection to be removed asap or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.

I have been attempting to resolve an issue on an over payment of my account since June, 2022. At that time, I received a collection notice from this company in regard to an emergency room visit. Having never before received a collection notice, I immediately paid the bill. On further investigation, however, I learned that Central Physicians had accepted the ******** amount in full payment of the bill. I made contact with the agency, and they assured me that the amount I paid would be credited to the credit card account I used to pay the collection notice. Since June, I have called Central Physicians innumerable times in an attempt to recover this money. Each time, I have been told the account is being reviewed or that the refund will soon be taken care of. I have asked to speak the the person supposedly "reviewing" the matter, but was told this is not possible. It has now been over six months. I have been forced to pay credit card interest on the amount and still see no end in sight. Central Emergency Physicians seems to have agreed to accept both ******** and my personal payment for this bill. Since I am on a fixed income, this is a definite hardship.

I have continued receiving bills regarding my son's emergency room visit from August 2021. This bill was paid, and I have contacted Central Emergency Room Physicians PSC. Below I will detail the issues: -First, this was a visit resulting from a car accident. Central Emergency Physicians PSC is to bill the car insurance company, ******* ******, and I see that they are aware of this as they list ******* ****** on their correspondences. Why are you contacting me and not ******* ******? -******* ****** paid the bill. I was advised by Central Emergency Physicians PSC that they could not locate it and needed to do a check search. Despite me asking the agents to contact me regarding the status, the agents do not follow through. -Central Emergency Physicians PSC continues to harass me and threaten to send this account to collections because they can't find the check in their system, despite being provided the payment information more than once by ******* ****** and me asking for them to keep me informed. -This may be outsourced to another company as the address listed on the correspondences is in Jacksonville, FL, but there is no company name listed. Thus, you have forced me to report you as you are using an unprofessional organization to handle you bill collection that refuses to identify themselves on written and in verbal communications. Poor record keeping and an unwillingness to work towards a resolution has prolonged an already very stressful ordeal. I implore you fix this issue, and frankly, to leave me out of it. Stop trying to make me the middle man between you and ******* ****** and stop trying to have me foot the bill because of your poor record keeping. I will be seeking out other ways to report you.
