I have a Macaw, I called MVP and asked if Melissa was still the owner and was told no, she retired and sold the business. I asked if they did nail trims and they did, I told them it took to people to trim my birds talons cause she is a biter. My daughter took my bird and I guess she told them the bird was aggressive. They are supposed to give the bird something such as a towel to bite on and lightly hold them around the neck area, I use to take her to the vet and watched how this procedure is done. Whomever held my bird , held her by the head, squeezing her face and jaw, to the point that they tore her delicate white skin on one side and had it bleeding and bruised her face on both sides. Sorry but this is not the way to handle a bird, they could have done permanent damage and I would have taken serious action had that been the case. There attitude was, this happens, it will be fine. They shouldn't have charged me but they did and I feel I'm do my money back after treatment of my bird. And I'm owed an explanation and an apology. I will never step foot in that place again nor will I recommend MVP. I honestly wish Melissa had investigated who she was selling her business to before she sold it. When she had it, The animals were in good shape, they were treated great, the fish tanks cleaned. Not now, I feel sorry for the animals they are selling, they don't act happy and they look lifeless. I'm sorry. They don't know how to take care of animals and should not be in business.
