Work was performed over two days (7/8 & 7/9/23). ******** was contracted to do landscaping tasks consisting of removing weeds and bushes, adding top soil to front both sides of the house as well as the back yard. Burying two drainage plastic tubes to facilitate runoff, removing old bedding from front of house and installing river rock. Also creating a block platform at side of house for storing trash containers. Finally adding new retaining wall to back patio base. During the process of removing the weeds (with a power weed trimmer) ******** was using the trimmer and caused several rocks to be thrown about the yard, one at least shattered my patio door window. ******** was immediately advised and shown his error which he admitted to saying he would replace it. The rest of ********s work with his crew has shoddy at best my one drain pipe was not buried and has approximately 8 feet exposed. The retaining wall that he built was from a completely different style of brick and he only got a limited number of pieces. All during this process ******** insisted on being paid cash. I told him I couldn’t do that as I just moved here and still had out of state checking he reluctantly accepted three separate checks. After breaking the window I kept asking for his insurance company’s name to contact. He refused and said he would contact a local glass company to get a quote. After two weeks he finally had a company come out “Ok Glass Company”; their estimate was $975.04. ******** said too high and again after a lot of contact he called “Glass Doctor” for an estimate $1177.52. For another week he refused to pick a company. Finally agreed to use Glass Doctor even though higher. Although Glass Doctor would not order the product until deposit of 50% paid. It’s been over 3 months and the window finally came in last week and as expected ******** won’t or according to him , pay the balance of $588.76. We need resolution
