I was looking into a couple different modeling agencies for my baby. I came across Cosmo located in Louisville Ky. I met with **** and she was friendly but kept telling me i should sign up. I have thought about it in my earlier years but didn’t want to at the time. She kept peer pressuring me to sign up so i did it. I paid $350 for my ******** and $600 DEPOSIT out of $1400 out of pocket. My ******** hasn’t had any bookings or anything but thats not the problem. A photoshoot was scheduled and i went accordingly. I am a ** year old ******* American. They REQUIRE you to wear makeup even though i didn’t want to but i did anyway. You wasn’t able to see the pictures until 3 weeks later. I saw my pictures and was instantly devastated. My pictures were horrible and you can see the makeup reflecting. I brought it up to **** but she kept saying how much she and the “booking agent” thought i looked “beautiful”. I honestly could care less what they thought, this is me, my hard earned money i worked for paying for this. i asked them not to upload the pictures and she said she would see about switching the headshot but never did. I called and texted and i get no answer or response and the same excuse. They still uploaded the pictures and continues to send me a bill in the mail to pay them. I refuse to pay when i asked for my picyto not be uploaded as they did anyway. they are very unprofessional, disrespectful and only care about the money.Business response

We are quite surprised and confused that ****** is disappointed when her photos are absolutely stunning!
****** is an attractive young adult, and both myself and COSMO New Faces Director and Head Cosmetologist,**** *****, recognized that at her initial appointment when she came in with her child.
We were thrilled to have her join the COSMO AGENCY without any pressure or coercing on our part. This is an important professional decision that every individual must make for themselves. It is our position to recognize those individuals who have potential to work as a model, actor, or actress, and present them with all the information.
****** photographs very well, as we assumed she would, and did a spectacular job in front of the camera, according to our staff photographer.
Our staff of cosmetologists who work on all the models and talent photo shoots are trained, licensed professionals.
As our Head Cosmetologist who personally worked with ****** on her shoot, **** has been employed with the Agency for 10+ years working on all models photo shoots doing both make-up and hair styling, along with being booked through the Agency by COSMO'S business clients for talent make-up and hair in all genres of the advertising media.
Unfortunately, ****** never followed through on her commitment by attending her 2-hour Agency meeting with her group 3 weeks following their photo shoot. She was the only one absent at that meeting with the Agency Director, and has been asked numerous times to reschedule her meeting since so much information is discussed, including any concerns or questions the models may have.
COSMO has upheld its side of the agreement, including the production of her website profile and her Model's Composite Card, as seen in the attached image, along with a few of her photos, so payment is still due to the Agency and there will be no refunds.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I asked if i could come earlier that day, You said No. So i asked when it would be rescheduled and apparently it hasnt been and **** never let me know when it was when she said. COSMO DID NOT hold up their end of the agreement and like i saod before i could care less what you think the pictures look like. I AM paying for them so therefore it will be up to MY standards. I will get a refund and my pictures WILL be takend down.

We are still very sorry you are not happy with your beautiful photos and wonderful personal profile on the COSMO Talent Pool Website, especially since 2 clients already had included you on their short list for upcoming paid bookings.So, your photos and profile are already working for you at 100%.But, per your misapprehensive request, COSMO will archive your photos and profile from the Client website, but you will still be responsible for your monthly payments, per your signed contract agreement.Plus, you are more than welcome to re-shoot your photos and do your own hair and makeup.COSMO is being more than fair to help you understand the process and the industry, which you have failed to do, thus far.We would still look forward to working with you in the near future.Thank you!Customer response

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.you can respectfully tell your “client” i will not be participating. I am not accepting your request now. i have already said this a while ago and offered to use my own pictures. I never get a response or answered phone calls. i dont want to work with you all. you all are VERY unprofessional, i want my ********* photos taken down as well. I want the contract terminated without penalty. you all have caused enough stress for me and i will not be paying anything else. you can keep the hard worked $950 i have given you but thats it. you keep thinking that your word is againt mind and its not. i can tell my whole social media what you did and that can affect the models that comes to you. take this offer and there wont be any damage to your business.
