Purchased $300 kayak for wife on 7/8/23. Took it home and realized it was too small for her. Immediately returned the unused kayak to Dunham’s (2 hours). When the cashier radioed for assistance to help me get it out of my truck the store manager informed him that boats are non-refundable or exchanged. At NO time during my purchase was I told or any signage stating non-refundable. I asked the manager to show me where they let customers know it was non-refundable. The manager said it’s on their website and also pointed to sheet of paper on a bulletin board behind cashier that listed @ 25 items (small print) and boat was listed. I don’t know if they were deliberately being deceptive or just and over site not informing customers of their policy. Even some of the employees were not aware kayaks were on the list. One employee said he thought it states non-refundable on the back of the receipt. I had to laugh saying it is a little late after the fact. Just want to return and get my money back. Store should have had some signage to indicate no returns on boats. There were dozens of signs posted on kayak sales.Customer response

Today a received a call from Dunham’s and they have agreed to allow me to return the kayak for a full refund. They did mention the exception to their return policy was.in response from contact from BBB.
