Water was coming up in my bathtub, so I contacted Big Blue Septic Services, ***** *********, on August 5, 2022. He came out and pumped the septic, and I wrote him a check for $325. On August 16, 2022, I started having the same issue. I contacted *********, who said he would come in the next couple of days. On August 18, 2022, he still hasn't came, nor called. I have children in the home and needed this situation rectified. I attempted to contact ********* several times, by phone, to no avail. I left messages stating he said he would come, but hadn't, and that I have children in the home and needed this issues taken care of. In the meantime, I dug up the septic area, and it appeared to be full of fecal matter. I then contacted him again. He did not answer, and I left a message stating the right thing to do would be to come and correct the issue, or refund my money. After about an hour, I contacted ****** Septic Service. When I explained I just had the septic pumped approximately 2 weeks ago, the man on the other end asked a series of questions, such how long the other septic people had stayed, if they checked to ensure everything was in working order before they left, etc. He explained some companies do not completely drain the septic. About an hour later, he came out and pumped the septic again, **** ******. I wrote him a check for $300. After he left, ********* called about 30 minutes later. I told him he had not came back out, and I could not wait multiple days, due to having kids in the house. He said the issue could be other things wrong with the system, or that it could be failing. I explained I have the system pumped every 3 years and have never been told anything was wrong with it, but that he did not say anything about that when he pumped it either. I told him it would only be right for him to refund my money, at which time he seemed to become upset and disconnected the call.

*** **** contacted me to come pump his septic tank. I was headed to his house during a lightning storm with my son. The storm passed and we decided that the rain would hold off long enough to get his tank pumped. Mr **** was watching us the whole time we pumped his tank. I asked him how old his home was and he said that he wasn't sure. Mr **** is only a renter. I told him that most of the houses in the neighborhood were built in the 1970's. I also told him that in that time period, most of the tanks that were installed were about 750 gallons. When we got into the tank the lines were backed up and not draining right and that he would probably need to have some extra lines installed to help his problem. I am NOT an installer and do NOT do repairs, so he would have to contact someone else for that service. We finished pumping his tank and got everything loaded on the truck, I gave him the invoice, he paid, and we left. Everything was working fine when we covered the hole up.

Septic tanks operate and store fecal matter. That is what a septic tank is for.

I came out to his house in dangerous weather conditions to try to help him. I have costs that I incur while pumping septic tanks. I incurred those costs. I don't do it for free.

I cannot help if a system is failing and not working properly. I try to keep my cost at a minimum so that the customer doesn't spend an over abundance of resources.

I work two jobs to help try to provide for my own family, so I know the value of money. I am not responsible for a failing system

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. ******** did not come out in any type of storm. This is false, and he was actually contacted the previous night, so had there been, I definitely would not have expected anyone to pump my septic during. Secondly, I am not a renter, and the official owner of the house lives on-site, with me. Again, this is false information from Mr. ********. The issue is not with the tank, but because he spent about 5 minutes emptying the back part of the septic tank. According to his statement, he says we need leetch lines; however, I had another professional on the business come out today. His team dug the dirt around the entire tank, which was not done by ********. As stated above, he only removed the dirt from the bottom portion. To successfully empty a septic tank, the largest area needs to be emptied! The guys that were here today were disgusted at what we had been told, by ********, as far as needing new leetch lines, which is thousands of dollars. Another area of concern, if I was a renter I would not have been the one to be concerned about the septic, obviously. I have never heard of a renter paying for a septic to be pumped. That just doesn’t make any sense. ******** also stated I stood on the porch and watched him. That I did; however, I am not a professional in pumping septic systems. If I was, my transfer to him, for providing the service would be non-existent. I am more knowledgeable now, since I had other people in that profession look at the tank, run their tools through and found ******** did not empty the septic tank! We attempted to contact him multiple times, we as in myself and the homeowner, and he would not answer the phone, nor voicemails the homeowner left in tears, because we have children who cannot live in an unsanitary environment. There are many false statements in his response, and of which are not logical.

      Sincerely,

      *** ****
