We purchased 3 Blue Bayou Water Park tickets for our daughters and Christmas of 2019 for the 2020 season. The water park did not open during the 2020 season obviously due to Covid. I reached out to Blue Bayou in 2020 and was told our passes would be good for 2021. In 2021, the park never opened to capacity and the Dixie Landing amusement park section, which was also part of the season ticket package, was never opened due to staffing shortages. We were told we could hold onto our passes until 2022 but we would have to pay the difference because the prices were going to go up. I preferred to pay more to actually use the full facility in 2022 then to get less than half of what I originally paid for in the first place. We held on to our passes in hopes that 2022 would bring a fully open park however this year not only has Dixie landing not been open but the waterpark has only been operating at half capacity or less and it opened very late in the summer. It has been closed many days for "weather" and various other reasons which are in a parent to the general public. Blue Bayou has not been able to deliver the experience we paid for originally and we would like a full refund for all three passes. I have emailed and called several times this year and have received no response in return. I am reaching out to the Better Business Bureau now in hopes of a full refund at this point because I do not think it is within their capacity to fully open again any time soon to the extent of what the original purchase promised when bought the tickets for the 2020 season and it has gone on long enough without any response from the park.

All tickets and Season Passes when purchased state that we do not offer refunds. This is posted on our website, as well as our online ticketing agency, as well as at all ticket office windows. The passes/ticekts do not have an expiration date on them. Thank you.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The tickets were sold with a certain expectation of services that Blue Bayou/Dixie Landings has not been able to provide for the last two seasons and at the rate they're going, the company could be out of business by next year. So while I understand the no refund policy on season passes, because the company cannot deliver on the experience they sold, there should be an exception for a refund given the circumstances.

I held onto the passes last year hoping the operation would be 100% this year but it's not even at 30% on a good day due to staffing shortages. Not only did the water park open very late and at 50% operationally as Dixie landings never opened. The passes that we bought were for a fully functioning water park and amusement park.

Also, when I called in 2020 to see if the passes could be held over until 2021 I was told I could but there would be an additional charge because the company was going to increase the price of the annual passes. Annual passes were not even offered this year to customers, probably to keep numbers down as most of the park want not open. At this point, I have no faith that Blue Bayou/Dixie Landings will be fully functional again and therefore the company cannot deliver on the experience that they sold in 2019.

In addition, my kids are two years old her now than when I bought the tickets, they are growing out of the stage of going to water parks at this point. I hate that the company is in a position to not operate at full capacity but this is not what I purchased and a refund is in order.
