I had an appointment scheduled for November 11, 2022@0945, when I arrived I was told I had a balance of $300, so I came the lady checked me in and I sat down waiting on my appointment. Two minutes later the receptionist lady came to me and told me I had to pay at least $5 dollars on my bill in order to see the doctor. I needed to see my doctor because my blood pressure was elevated in stroke volume. So lady called me to the front desk, stating I can't see my doctor because I didn't have $5 dollars to give them. I told them my card had gotten stolen so the bank had to cancel my card and mail me out another one. My blood pressure is extremely high, I also had A.fib they didn't care I could have had a stroke and die over not paying them $5 dollars. Someone's life is more important then $5 dollars it goes to show you how prejudice a world we live in. They had a white lady she came to the desk her bill was $1200 dollars she didn't pay anything but still seen the doctor. Its sad we have to go through hard time because of the color of our skin and who we are. I will be notifying my another, social media and anyone that's need to know what's going on in today's world its horrible. I could have die, I hope this message help someone because MY life worth less than $5 to the Baton Rouge Clinic its sad. Am out of medication this is ridiculous they should be ashamed of themselves. But in the end God has the final say.Business response
