On March 29, 2022, we signed an agreement with Benjamin ********************** and paid the $7,620 deposit. He agreed to build, paint/stain and install 3 vanity's, the laundry room cabinets/butcher block, kitchen cabinets, vent hood, backsplash, 4 floating shelves and hardware. The cost was $25,400. Via text message Mr ********************** estimated it would take him 3 weeks to complete the cabinets. We told him that we wouldn't need them till the end of May. Through the year Mr. ********************** was apologetic and made many excuses, but kept assuring us that he was working on our job and that it wouldn't be much longer. He would send us photos of cabinets, cabinet drawers and doors being worked on. During the process we requested some changes to the original plan, Mr ********************** agreed to those changes and adjusted pricing accordingly. In October 2022, we were told it would be completed in a week or two. As of today, NOTHING is completed. March 4, 2023, at 5:52 I received several text messages from Mr **********************. He sent screen shots of prior correspondence of things he felt he should have charged more for. He wanted us to sign a new contract, pay $5500 to complete what he started and we could figure out the rest later. We made Mr ********************** aware that we did not wish to sign a new contract, nor do we want him to continue working for us.As of April 2023, we hired a licensed contractor to correct the island end caps, paint issues and the rest of his incomplete work.Mr ********************** did not do the sides of the island correct, the paint is the wrong color, some cabinets were sprayed, some were rolled, one cabinet is crooked, he installed a 24" lazy ***** where a 32" should have been, he didn't complete the cabinet doors/drawer fronts, hood, 1 drawer, the floating shelves, butcher block, trim work, cabinet shelving or hardware install. He said that we made him redo cabinets because the plywood wasn't the same color, which is untrue. He has yet to return the garbage can that he took and the paint that we purchased.Business response

These allegations are absolutely false. ***************** repeatedly sent me back with items to redo after installation and agreed all was good. She made changes until the last day that I was there. Once I told her the changes would cost extra she got upset so I stopped all work. I have 5 kids and a full time job. I'm not taking hours or days out of my schedule to print emails, text, contracts, pictures with this customer. If this is published, I will then take the time to submit my support to an attorney and *** for defamation.
