On June 5, 2024 I entered D&R Auto Sales inquiring about a vehicle. Mr. ******* ****** greeted me and friend/witness. He said the vehicle is my personal vehicle but I have another one just like it with lower miles, great condition, coming in Friday June 7. I asked the price on that. He said $10,000. Everything on my lot goes for no more than $10,000. So friend/witness and I return Friday to talk business and learn more info on this particular vehicle. Mr. ******* told me, he had a certified mechanic look this vehicle over and found a couple of minor issues such as replacing the windshield and a break booster job, and has an appt set up to have it fixed. He handed me the keys to go for a test drive. The moment I was driving out of the parking lot the brakes began to squeak as I cam to a stop. I asked Mr. ******* what's the noise? He responded" oh that's the brake booster but I assure you , I'll have you rolling safe. Next I hit a small pot hole and there was clunking noise. Again I asked now what's that noise? he said both of those noises you are hearing is the brake booster and my mechanic will take care of you within the next 48 hours. I expressed that I refused to pay $10,000 for a vehicle with issues. He again reassured me that whatever it is, he will handle it. After the test drive, he told me that we can still do the deal today, because he would be out of his office 2-3 days, but he was gonna call with an appt time so I can bring the vehicle in. I went to the credit union and had a check written for $10,000 and signed paperwork with an understanding the work will be done and I would be riding safe. The next call from Mr. ******* was on June 10 asking if everything went ok with the windshield job. My response was yes. He proceeded to tell me he was waiting on a call from **** Dodge. try to see is there was a recall on that particular part or front suspension and while waiting on that answer, he was gonna call another mechanic names frog since his original mechanic "cowboy joe" hasn't gotten back with him. I deeply expressed to Mr. ******* I would prefer someone a little more professional than your neighborhood mechanics! He then raised his voice and said "well find the mechanic of your choice and ill still take care of it mam!" I reached out on June 17 asking for an update he stated there was no recall on this part, but he was gonna price it on amazon and get back to me. He called me again in June 20, saying he priced the part and gonna get me taken care of, and make sure I'm riding safe. I told him it seems like after I paid you my money, your stringing me along and I'm getting no where. And I asked after looking over all paperwork why did you put I gave you $7,000 for this vehicle and we both know I paid you $10,000 His response was I was tryna be nice and help you. I asked politely can you please fix this paperwork, his response was no, he's not paying double to a notary for nothing. June 21, he call me and we briefly spoke, I informed him I was waiting on a call back form **** Dodge for an appt, he asked me to keep him posted. On July 7, I received a call from **** Dodge to come in and discuss this. We discussed what the salesman mechanic finding were, so a part was ordered in the sum of $ 250 paid by me. The part comes in 3 weeks later, the tech advisor called and told me that's not the problem you're having here. He stated I have some major problems and its not safe to drive. He typed up their finding and told me to take this car back to the dealer, he should pay to have it fixed or return your money. The cost of over $5,500 in parts and labor to make this vehicle safe. He gave me a print out for Mr. ******* and take if from there. See if he is willing to negotiate or do something. On July 25, I walked the paperwork in the Mr. ******* to read for himself. He said the dodge or any other dealership is gonna charge you high prices for to do work, and furthermore I don't believe that's what's wrong with that vehicle. I expressed how I didn't care what you believe, you're not the tech your don't specialize in mechanic work, a professional certified mechanic wrote up this paper full of problems. He continued to tell me there was no leaks when we had the vehicle. My response was of course it wasn't because when I got the vehicle home there was no power steering fluid in it, not a drop. I paid for power steering fluid. I paid to have it inspected because he refused to pay for an inspection sticker after having the windshield put in. I also had an oil change done because it looked like it has never been changed. Mr. ******* led me to believe I had a car in very good condition, low mileage, with no major issues, and for $10,000 he would never take advantage of me and did not keep his word. He stated in the very beginning that I can trust him. Trusting the man has caused me nothing but problems. I have until August 6 to register this vehicle in my name and I refuse to take ownership of the vehicle that's unsafe to drive. I'm also paying $300 a month for full coverage insurance on a car I cant even drive on the highway, and barely in town due to all of the potholes. Mr. ******* was aware I'm suffering from PTSD symptoms due to the wreck I had 30 days before meeting him. I cannot get in this vehicle without anxiety or shaking nervously until I reach my destination. All I'm asking is for him to pay to have it fixed. Or I want my money

I sold this lady a vehicle for $7,000. She signed an AS-IS agreement. Was paid additional funds to replace windshield, extended warranty and fender flare replacement. Customer drove vehicle before purchase was made. This is a pre-owned vehicle.....NOT NEW. Anytime  you go to a New Car Dealership they will find things to repair, that's how they get paid. I never promised anything. She was very happy when she left.

I am rejecting this response because: to secure the warranty contract. They couldn't even tell the advisor what all was covered until they hear from Mr. *******. minutes later, I arrive back into the office of Mr., ******* with the list of repairs and the warranty document relaying the message from the claims department, to get in contact with them as soon as possible. Adding, I don't have much time left on the warranty. Mr. ******* fiddled around on his computer for ar least fifteen minutes making excuses about being locked out of his computer. I asked again, can you please make the call. He finally made the call and continues to go back and forth with stating he paid for the warranty the same day he sold me the car. Once Mr. ******* hung up, he stated they are saying he didn't make the payment to secure the contract, but he know it came out of his account. He stated he could be in contact with me before end of day, and make this right again I never heard from Mr. *******. Moving forward, On August 6, 2024 I received a call from BBB asking did I receive or sign a document such as a "disclosure or We Owe" form from Mr. ******* agreeing to buy the vehicle for $7000 as-is and if the remaining $3,000 will go to repairs? Yes, I did sign a disclosure form, as-is and I was told by Mr. ******* for that kind of money he will have me riding safe. The next question was asked was there a break down of what was repaired on the vehicle? the answer is No! I was referred to the law center on council because I am getting nowhere with Mr. ******* and I believe he has taken advantage of me, led me to believe that he was a very honest man and the then shook I and my witness hand apologizing for the misunderstanding and he would stay in contact and do his best to make things right. Now here it is August 10, 2024 and still never heard from Mr. *******. I explained in the very beginning, I lost my husband due to similar issues 30 years ago and I don't want my adult children and family to have to relive one of the most traumatic experience of my life. Every time I get into this vehicle my anxiety rise. I begin to feel nervous, clinching the steering wheel, and at times I feel nauseous. Just knowing alone the struts are blown, power steering pump is leaking, need to replace upper control arm, rack and pinion. I do not feel safe in this vehicle. I cannot express enough joe Mr. ******* has taken advantage of me and led me to believe he had this vehicle check out and the problems are fixed.

      Sincerely,

      ******** ********
