      There needs be an option for negative stars. I have been trying to complete a request for my father who passed away and had an account with **. I have had nothing but a run around the entire time. When you ask to speak to a supervisor they say they are in a meeting or training and no one can take the **** they say someone will call back but that never happens. They do not value your business at all and I have no idea how they are still in business. What a nightmare of a company.

      I have been back and forth with **** Hancock for over a year trying to figure out how to get my 401k money rolled over to a traditional *** account elsewhere. I confirm and echo many of the complaints out here - I believe that ** has set up their internal processes to make it almost impossible for a normal person to transfer the funds out of this institution. I spoke on and off to multiple departments and multiple people and when I called today, they had very limited knowledge of any of the interactions - they don't know who their customers are calling in, and I imagine that is by design because it creates a moat of plausible deniability. Today I finally got a competent, well-trained person on the phone who walked me through the process after I had been given incorrect information before. They have promised to send me my (paper! LOL) check in around 10 days, so that I can then re-send that (paper! LOL) check on to my financial institution. I guess we'll see if I ever see that check, and if it comes in a timely fashion, and for the amount promised. Here is the information you need to get your money out of **** Hancock. 1. Have the details from your target institution available (who to make the check out to, any other info). 2. Call (sorry BBB won't let me post the number) and talk with the Total Retirement ********************* 3. They will offer you either paperwork, or they can walk you through the transaction on the phone. Insist on phone walk through with the agent. 4. Complete the transaction so they can generate your (paper! LOL) check. 5. Get a confirmation number. 6. Pray they do what they say they will do in a timely fashion. I will be back on here in a few weeks to provide an update if they were able to get me the check. Good luck! And I would recommend NEVER doing business with **** Hancock again under any circumstances.

      I have had the same experience with this company as others have noted. I wanted a rollover. Was told it would take 10 business days. Every time I speak with anyone, they direct me to my old employer. Which I did and they filled out approval forms for the rollover. I still do not have my funds deposited in my new 401K. IF you are considering **** Hancock. RUN!!!

      I have 401k with **** Hancock and submitted a withdrawal request on June 11, 2024. I was told that I should receive my check in the mail in one week. Following week went by and I did not receive my check. I called **** Hancock and I was told that they are just now completing my request and for me to call them in a week. Another week went by, and I still havent received my check. I called **** Hancock 5 times, and each time they were saying they had already mailed the check and I should be receiving it in 5-10 business days. On June 30, I was informed that they can issue me another check and cancel the first one and it was all approved by their manager. It will be expedite and I should receive it by July 3. Todays date is July 5, 2024 and again I had to cal them because its almost a month and I still havent received my money. I was told that their manager approved the request on July 3 and its scheduled to be mailed overnight, and give them a call on Monday. Today is Friday, and I should receive it tomorrow Saturday, why do I need to call again?. They keep telling me BS!!!**** HANCOCK IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY ! DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MONEY!

      Took over half a month to get my money out of their acct and when I DID get finally get it, it was 8% short BEFORE taxes came out!Thieves!

      I recently switched companies and had to roll over my 401K. I also took a disbursement with the roll-over. I completed the forms online with a rep and was told it would take up to 10 business days. I called this morning (it has been 12 business days) and was told that nothing has been done . I've never had business with them before and after today I won't ever again. I will remove the entire amount and go elsewhere. I figured i would receive professional help but was sadlt mistaken.

      Terrible customer service. My mother has long term care insurance and they wont pay out. Keep coming up with excuses.

      Ive been with **** Hancock since 1995. When I had to roll over my 401 to an *** they handled everything and it went smoothly. Ive called them to help with starting distribution from *** and they have been very helpful. Ive never had a bad experience with **** Hancock.

      Worse financial company. Holding my money for over two months with no explaination. **************** is the worst. People arguing and attitude with me for wanting my money wish i read these reviews before contributing

      They never have concise information. They will do anything and everything from getting you to keep your money
