On April 12, 2022, I entered into an agreement with Juventus Academy Boston (JAB) to pay a program fee of $2705 in exchange for my sons participation in JABs Regional Youth Academy soccer program during the 2022/2023 club calendar year. A "2022/2023 Player Handbook" that lists the services included in the 2022/2023 program was provided to parents by ***. A copy is attached to this complaint. JAB has not provided the services that were promised, and a breach of contract has occurred. Specific examples include:1. My sons team has had three different head coaches in less than a year. All three coaches have utilized different training programs. The 2022/2023 Player Handbook states that "[JABs] goal is to provide ... the highest quality coaching while adhering to the world-famous training methodology and curriculum of Juventus FC." A consistent training methodology and curriculum has not been provided. 2. My sons coach routinely arrives late or fails to arrive at all. At least five 90-minute training sessions were canceled during the 2022 Fall season for my sons team because the coach was not available at the scheduled time. None of the canceled training sessions have been made up or rescheduled. 3. SportsLab360 and Veo game filming have not been utilized for my sons team. The 2022/2023 Player Handbook states that these services are included in the program fee.4. My son did not receive an end of season evaluation for the 2022 Spring or Fall seasons. The 2022/2023 Player Handbook states that "end of season evaluations (Fall and Spring)" are included in the program fee.5. My sons team was expelled from their training facility because, according to staff, JAB failed to pay the facility on time. On December 12, 2022, I contacted ******************************* (JAB Boys Director) and requested a prorated refund of $1623 and a release for my son so that he can play for a different soccer club. ******************** responded on December 13, 2022 and declined to provide a refund.Business response

This parent completed a signed contract. The signed contract states very clearly that the club has a no refund policy, this is outlined prior to any family completing the online registration. We also have the signed document for this family with them signing off on all agreements. They are not due any refund and they actually per the contract need to fulfill the financial obligations on their account. They are leaving because they are following a coach to another club. The club winter season does not begin until mid January so a number of the things stated are incorrect.Customer response

Juventus Academy Bostons (JAB) contract and refund policy assume that they are actually providing the services that were promised, which in my case they are not. I have clearly provided examples in my complaint of how JAB failed to provide the coaching and training services that were promised during the 2022 Fall season. JABs failures have resulted in a breach of contract. Based on the failures that occurred during the 2022 Fall season, I do not expect that JAB will be able to provide adequate services going forward. This is why I have requested a prorated refund of $1623 for the remainder of the 2022/2023 club calendar year (2023 Winter and 2023 Spring seasons) that has not been completed. I have also requested a written release for my son so that he can play for a different soccer club. We are not following my sons coach, *************************, to another club. As far as I know, ***** is still employed by JAB and coaching Juventus teams.

This is False. The club handbook is year round, nothing he is mentioning is Fall specific other than the training time and games which all happened. The winter season finished on 11/20/22 and re starts on 1/16/23. We currently have completed the Fall season and will start the winter season. This customer wants money back for a season he has received, he is also not quoting the full contract information which outlines the club refund policy and that if he chooses to leave he needs to fulfill all remaining balances on his account. This is someone who is leaving to go to another club that does not want to fulfill the contract that he has signed.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.
The 2022/2023 Player Handbook, which is attached to my original complaint, clearly identifies that 2022/2023 club calendar year includes three seasons: 2022 Fall, 2023 Winter, and 2023 Spring. The 2022 Fall season ran from 8/22/2022 to 11/20/2022 and is now complete. The 2023 Winter and 2023 Spring seasons have not taken place yet. Mr. ********* statement that The winter season finished on 11/20/2022 is false. The 2022/2023 Player Handbook clearly states that the 2023 Winter season starts on 1/15/2023 and ends on 2/26/2023. I am asking for a prorated refund for the portion of the club calendar year that has not happened yet (the 2023 Winter and 2023 Spring seasons). I believe that this is more than fair given the fact that Juventus Academy Boston (JAB) failed to provide the services that were promised during the 2022 Fall season. As I have stated before, my refund request is based on the failures that occurred during the 2022 Fall season and JAB's perceived inability to provide adequate services going forward. I have provided additional proof of JABs failures during the 2022 Fall season in the attached PDF file. The file contains screen captures from the ********************* phone app that JAB uses to communicate to coaches and parents of players. The attached document provides proof of 5 instances where 90-minute training sessions were canceled, 2 instances where my sons coach was late, 2 instances where my sons coach missed two 60-minute games, and 3 instances where my sons coach did not show up for training and the team was placed with a different coach that was already supervising another team. The contract that I signed with JAB has been breached by their own failures to provide the coaching and training that was promised.

I signed my son up for club soccer at juventusacademy Boston to play for coach *********************. ****************** is no longer with the club. Most of the players on the team have also left. On May on May 26, 2022 I gave them a check for $2600.00 for the season which has not started yet. Prior to sending the check, I was sent an email requesting payment in order to secure a roster spot. I recently told them that I was not going to stay with the club. What I signed up for is not available because the coach is gone. They are refusing to refund me because they said that they have a "no return policy" I did not sign a contract and their no refund policy was not disclosed to me and I received nothing in return for my $2600.00 but an email that said if I stayed with the club that they replace the old coach with someone who they claim is good. The old coach recruited me and I signed my son up to play for him based on his qualifications and an interview on which I had with him and ask all pertinent questions to my son's development. I want ALL of my money back and they will give nothing.Business response

This customer has chosen to leave after paying registration at no fault of the club. He is following a coach that left to play for another club. The club has a no refund policy which is being followed.
