On February 5, 2020, my wife and I booked a room for May 21, 22 and 23, 2020, at Perkins Inn, 32 Perkins Street, *************************, owned by area businessmen ********************* and *********************. Payment was made in advance in the amount of $680.50 (confirmation No. **********) (please see attachment, Exhibit A). The Covid pandemic began in March 2020, and we we had to to cancel the reservation in April 2020 owing to unsafe travel conditions. At that time Shai informed us by email that, rather than issue a refund for the advance payment received, Perkins Inn would keep our funds and allow us to use them for a future stay (Exhibit B). In January 2021 this agreement was reaffirmed by Perkins Inn employee "****", who wrote "There is no expiry for your reservation so you're welcome anytime the opportunity to travel opens up." (Ex. C) Ever since then, however, despite numerous calls made to Perkins Inn at ************ and numerous emails sent to its email address at *********************************** from July 2020 to the present time for the purpose of rescheduling our open-ended, guaranteed stay or obtaining a refund, there has been no response from the company. No one answers the phone or responds our emails. We do not believe the company has any intention of honoring the new agreement by which it would hold our payment and we would eventually receive a stay at Perkins Inn in exchange. In March 2022 we mailed additional separate requests for a refund to ******************, **************** and two other company officers, *********************** and **** Nab. Again, no response whatsoever from any of them. We consider ourselves to have been defrauded by Perkins Inn and would like to enlist the BBB's assistance in helping us obtain a refund of our $680.50 payment. Any assistance you can provide will be deeply and sincerely appreciated. Incidentally, we are aware of at least one other person who booked a room at the Inn and was likewise unable to contact the company subsequently. --***** and *************************Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.
