****** came out with an assistant on 5/25/2023 to help us with a "critter" we saw in our fireplace. He was very thorough and did not find any evidence of any animals or nests, and recommended a sweep and to order a chimney cap. We reviewed the estimate and I paid $359 for the sweep and $700 deposit for the cap that day. He left some of his rods/brushes in our chimney to block it off from animals coming back in before the cap could be installed. The check (for total of $1,059) cleared on 5/26 (#****). He called the next week (Thurs 6/1 at 12:14 pm) to say the cap had arrived, and that he would like to come out the next day to install. I left a message the next morning to say we were having our driveway being repaired that day but it was likely they would not get in the way. I left another message the following Monday to say anytime was fine that week, someone would be home. Since then, I have not been able to reach him- voicemail is full and does not accept messages, text messages are unanswered, contacting company via website didn't work, and IM via ******** page was also unsuccessful. We found a business address on ******** and sent a certified letter but it was returned. (The address we had did not match the one I now see on this page however). We found one ******** post that tagged the company on ******** dated early June that said there was an emergency and RonJon chimney sweeps would not be able to make appointments. I texted that individual out of concern and to ask for info and did not get a response. We have no ill will towards ******, we hope he is okay. We have his equipment in our chimney and would like to know what to do with it and also if we should find another chimney cap installer or if he will be able to work again we would certainly want to support his business through a difficult time.Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.
