After installation of the new door 2/29), a rattling between the panes of glass (the grills) every time the door opened and closed became obvious. It was and is very noisy and not something you'd expect from a brand new door. The salesman Adam responded by saying he had never heard of such an issue, and maybe we should have lowered our expectations because we "didn't buy the Cadillac" of sliding glass doors. When we reached out to the service department, who were wonderful and fixed a separate issue with the door, (it kept getting stuck open and was extremely difficult to move) the sales manager said those doors (vinyl with grills between) have that issue and that be had spoken to our salesman in particular about it before. "This is something that should be communicated at the point of sale, as there is no way to fix it."
At this point we knew we had been lied to from the start and wanted to reach out to the manager of the store (*** W****) for a remedy to this problem. After speaking to us once and saying he had only heard of this issue once on a window that didn't slide, he said he would look into the issue and get back to us. At this point we have reached out to him many more times, (about every other day since 3/22) and *** W**** has been unresponsive.
There has been no solution or remedy. I cannot explain how dissatisfied we are. I've emailed the CEO (because why not). Maybe he'll have something to say. Based on my experiences so far, I deeply doubt it.
I would never, ever, shop with Pella again.
