I Leased a 2021 ***** Colorado with them back in January of this year.I decided turn in the lease and purchase a 2021 ***** Equinox LT used. I gave them a $13,000.00 down payment for the vehicle and finance the rest. After signing the paperwork and picked up the vehicle I noticed there was a significant scratch on the driver side door window.I talked to the dealer and was told there wasnt anything they can do about the scratch.I called the sales person who sold me the vehicle and told him I was very upset they couldnt resolve the issue.I told him Im very unhappy with the vehicle.I returned the vehicle in six days of the purchase and bought a 2023 ***** Trailblazer. The equity on the ***** Equinox was $10,400 that would go toward the 2023 ***** Trailblazer.I questioned about the $13,000 that I put down on the ***** Equinox.Would any of it go toward the 2023 ***** Trailblazer.I didnt see any of it when I purchased the Trailblazer.I was asked for another $2,600 so they can keep me in the same monthly payment. So here I am $15,600 out of pocket and they claim that a portion of the $13,000 was put into the 2023 ***** Trailblazer. Its very sad that they can do that and not care for how the customer feels.Very big disappointment with Bertera Chevrolet.

I spoke today 8/24/2022 to *************************** salesmen for the vehicle I purchased on 8/18/2022 Trailblazer Chevrolet 2023.Invoice No 60629.Purchase price $31,833.50.Im disputing the $13,000.00 I gave as a down payment for the ***** Equinox LT I returned.would like to see my monthly payment be reduced.

The consumer did receive full credit for the money that was put down.  The money that he put down to get to his desired monthly payment is reflected on his paperwork when he purchased the vehicle.  When he then traded the vehicle in this money is reflected in the reduced amount of his vehicle payoff.

I am rejecting this response because:I truly believe that I returned the vehicle in six days and how does the lemon law work.I never said I was trading the vehicle in.Thats what they said.

      Sincerely,

The consumer purchased the 2021 Equinox in August of 2022.  He traded in the 2021 ***** Colorado that he leased in January.  Approximately 6 days later he traded in the Equinox towards a 2023 Trailblazer.  This is all reflected in the transaction paperwork as previously stated.

I bought a used jeep wrangler from Bertera in Palmer, after a short time owning the vehicle, it started shaking, I callked to get it in to the service dept., after waiting over a month for the service date, they called me the day before and told me that they were not qualified to service the vehicle they sold me, and to take it 45 minutes away to another dealer, well I took it to another local garage for diagnosis, after I paid for the diagnosis, I took the paperwork back to Berera in Palmer and talked to the general manager, he told me to bring it into the service dept . again, well I did and again they told me that they corrected some things but for me to bring it to another garage and that the garage I brought it to for the diagnosis was trying to take advantage of me. Well I paid out of pocket $1950 to get some items fixed on the jeep, I then brought it back to the garage that Bertera asked me to bring it to, now they deemed the vehicle unsafe to drive, so now to get the jeep back , there is over $6,0000 in repairs needed. This dealership should pay to get this vehicle safe to drive, if they are not qualified to inspect and fix a vehicle then why are they selling them?

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/18) */ The consumer purchased their 2012 Jeep Wrangler in July 2020 with approximately 156,000 miles. The first time that we have any record of them bringing the vehicle to our service department is January 3, 2022 with approximately 174,000 miles. The vehicle is well past any warranty period by time and miles so any repairs would be the consumer's responsibility. As a goodwill offer we can attempt to trade them into another vehicle subject to vehicle and final numbers. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/03/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I had an appointment with a shaking complaint well before January, with covid in play it took me over a month to get this Appointment. They called me the day before my appointment and told me that they were not qualified to look over my vehicle, they told me to take it to there sister shop over 45 minutes away from where I live, well that is a real inconvenience when you will need 2 vehicles to drop this off for the day. They also did not tell me then that scince I had an appointment when it was still under warranty it would still be covered. This whole vehicle issue sounds like they new what was wrong with the vehicle from the start, I was told that when they get a trade in vehicle they check the suspension and brakes, well this issue was there from the start and the sale of the vehicle, they were just trying to hise it. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/03/28) */ This matter has been resolved.

I bought a 2016 Lexus is300 on Dec. 22, 2021, it had 79,876 miles at time of purchase.the vehicle came with only the MA limited time used car warranty. (2months or 2500mi) on Dec. 23 ,2021 i ran across the first of what would be several issues with the car, a faulty tpm monitor and steering wheel heat button did not work. I spoke with AJ M**** , the salesman , and he stated they would repair the issue. being that it was a minor issue and the travel I decided to overlook it. .on Jan 21, 2022 i had several issues with the car and messaged AJ again, this time with NO reply for weeks. I took the car to a local toyota dealership, as soon as I was able to get an appt. (feb. 16, 2022) and discovered the car needs around $2k in repairs , Bertera is refusing to do the repairs stating the mileage has exceeded the warranty, which it has but my side of the argument is that I messaged them on several occassions, long before the warrranty was up, about these issues. they would not reply. Until february 17th, 2022. now that the miles have exceeded the warranty.. This is NOT RIGHT, the car cost me $27,000 and less than a month later it needs $2,000 in repairs. ( worn inside rear tires, bad front strut, oil leeking from motor, steering wheel heat button needs replacing) Please Help, **** ******* the transaction no. is XXXXX VIN: *****XXXX***XXXXXX Date: 12/22/2021

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/03) */ Mr. ******* purchased the 2016 Lexus on December 22, 2021 with 79,876 miles. The vehicle came with the Massachusetts used vehicle warranty of 60 days or 2500 miles. The vehicle was brought to our service department well over 2000 miles past the warranty end mileage. We would be willing to meet with Mr. ******* at the dealership to discuss his concerns or, as a goodwill gesture, we are offering $500 to resolve this matter with the execution of the appropriate documents. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/03/05) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) While I appreciate Bertera's effort to appease me, its simply Not acceptable. I am trying to attach dated and time stamped text messages I sent to AJ M**** along with photos of the the speedometer/ odometer window that clearly displays the warning lights that are on and the MIleage, at which time, WAs within the warranty parameters..... Bertera is absolutely coorect when they say the car showed up in there service dept. with mikeage reading 2k over. BUT I'll re iterate MY Point is These issues were present BEFORE this point and time. I complained well before the warranty ran out I WAS IGNORED! I am also trying to attach a copy of the inspection report they gave me when i took the car back for repair on 2/22 it shows the car needing $1140 in parts and clearly states thatr "I declined services" thats Insane I was never given the opportunity to decline services, Ive saved the voicemail I was sent. it states " your vehicle is ready for4 pick up" thats all it says... Im not an unreasonalbe person I would have gladly worked with Bertera to fix the problems amicably for both parties, I was never approached. The vehicle cost me $27k Ive lost 2 days work, $85 in fuel running down there and back. I am willing to meet Bertera in the middle, they quoted me $1140 for parts which doesnt include the steering wheel heater button (that didnt work from day 1) its approx. $140 part. these prices do not include Labor. I will pay 50% of the cost of the parts needed to fix ALL the issues. if they provide the other 50% and provide the labor.( which we know wont cost them anywhere near what they would normally bill out) I believe this to be more than reasonable solution. I would just like to add , how would any of you feel if you just paid $27k for a car and had to turn around and put $2000 into it with 4 weeks. The issues with this car Are not Acute they are chronic meaning: they didnt just happen struts dpnt all of the sudden start leaking( the photos clEARLY SHOW BUILD UP). these are wear and tear issues,ie.... If a coil pack had suddenly malfunctioned That would be a different matter. I truly feel Bertera who supposedly has a Good reputation should stand behind there products. Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/03/15) */ We will increase our previous goodwill offer to $750 as a resolution for this case. Consumer Response /* (2000, 14, 2022/03/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I will accept the offer provided We can conduct the resolution via email and Zoom video. I have no interest in taking the time and expense to drive back to Palmer MA, ******* can mail the check to me.
