On June 27, 2022, I enrolled my daughter, *********************, in the infant classroom at Kiddie Academy in Stoughton, MA. She was expected to begin attending the infant room on October 31, 2022.On September 20, 2022, I spoke to Kiddie Academy employee ****** via telephone and informed her that my daughter would not be attending Kiddie Academy come November. I asked to be refunded and she remarked that I should be all set because I have given more than thirty days notice and instructed me to send an e-mail to ************************************************* informing them of my request to be refunded. She remarked that I should have my security deposit and first weeks tuition returned to me in a timely manner minus the non-refundable registration fee of $100.00.I promptly sent an e-mail that same day explaining the situation and kindly requesting a refund for the enrollment fees I had paid. Per the enrollment agreement, I am entitled to all monies paid less the $100 non-refundable registration fee. Please see #5-10 of the enrollment agreement for *********************, signed virtually on 06/27/2022.The other fees I paid were:1. Security Deposit in the amount of $485.00 and;2. First Weeks Tuition in the amount of $485.00 I have sent three separate e-mails and spoken with *** at Kiddie Academy twice in the months since September 20th. I have been told that the owner of the daycare oversees all finances and would be reaching out to me. I have never been contacted. My most recent communication was with *** on November 1, 2022. I followed up by e-mail on November 12th once again with no response.Security deposits are, by definition, returned to the individual at the time of separation. As it is clear per the agreement that I am entitled to a refund of $970.00, please be advised that I will be pursuing this in small claims court if I am not issued a full refund in the amount of $970.00 within two weeks from today, Thursday, December 1, 2022.Business response

In response to the complaint filed by ******************* against Kiddie Academy of Stoughton for a full refund of tuition due to cancellation of her enrollment agreement, a refund had already issued in the amount of $970 on December 5,2022.
I would like to take this time to refute the allegations that she has made against Kiddie Academy of Stoughton. ******************* signed the enrollment agreement in June 27,2022 reserving a fulltime spot for her child starting on October 31,2022.Reserving a spot in this case means I cannot offer that spot to anyone else.
Our enrollment agreement specifically states You must provide written notice at least 4 weeks prior to your childs LAST DAY OF ATTENDANCE. Three months later, September 2022, ******************* informed Kiddie Academy Stoughton that she was withdrawing her enrollment.
Ms. ***, the program director, explained to her that she would not get her deposit back due to her childs NEVER ATTENDED. ****************** responded, it is what it is.
Let it be known that Kiddie Academy of Stoughton lost a considerable amount of revenue from this withdrawal because we turned away families who had a definite interest in enrolling their child in our program.
By issuing a refund check to *******************, in no way Kiddie Academy admit to any wrongdoing. The check has been issued because we want this matter settled and not have further dealing with *******************. ******************* broke the binding Enrollment Agreement that she signed on June 27,2022.
