      Calling support is met with a two recordings fighting each other. Trying to make a selection at the menus leads nowhere. Forms and paperwork don't seem to get to them on the first or second attempt and if they do reach them, it takes five business days or more for them to respond. It does not feel as though this is a real business but rather a scam.

      The worst to do business with. I have been approved but have to be paid.they put my direct deposit information wrong and then told me even though it wasnt my fault Id have to just wait until they figure it out. Try telling thats to my landlord

      This is my first time writing reviews on BBB. I can provide several reasons for giving the score to Sun Life Dental without pausing. Here are two of them:1. Unfriendly to customers, difficult to get approved: The family member urgently needed a crown for her tooth, as diagnosed by the dentist. It has been six months, and despite retaking the photo and numerous calls from both the dentist and ourselves to urge for approval, it has not been approved yet.2. Lengthy approval process, excluding exams and fillings: Getting the crown approved takes an incredibly long time. According to their reputation, the crown should be approved within one month at most. However, we filed a crown request in January, and it has been three months now, and they still need more time.Overall, if you are only working in-network and only need exams and fillings, perhaps this would be acceptable if the premium is affordable. Otherwise, this can be a nightmare for both customers and dentists.

      Sunlife automatically denied my claim during a time I needed it most. Critical lllness claim denied twice for lump sum payment .Each time I summited Wellness ,critical illness or any other claim automatically denied.Ive paid so much into all my policies I have with Sunlife.Feels like betrayal. After appealing my denials, insurance investigations still denied. I provided documentation to support claim and denied. I will start process to appeal to higher power because this unfair to have illness and beg for payments to get denied.Sunlife caused me more problems due to them repeatedly denying claims .

      I have been paying for this protection or service for several years, and my last employer offered this Sun Life Short-Term disability cover. Last year, I was not able to stay at work after getting intense pain that made me unable to do my tasks for two months. So, I applied to Sun Life Disability Insurance. With a big surprise for my doctor, assistant, and ***** nurse, this company (Sun Life) came to deny my doctor's ********* that I should be out of work and created a ********* that my pain was not enough to keep me out of work. This company denied my doctor's ********* and made its own only to deny my claim. It is a shameful institution.

      This company don't deserve any stars and should be closed for good. They have the worst customer service. they are good at giving you the run around and lying comes natural from their consultants(members service). I have a STD and A *** open and nothing is being done about neither one. They only contact me just to tell me more and more issues that should've already been taking care and let me know that I been lied to over and over again by their co-workers. I been without pay for 5 months or more. The sad part about it is that they got paid before I did. This has caused me mental stress and depression. I just don't get it I think they are a scam because the mangers never call back . I been dealing with this issue sense 09/2022 and it is 03/2023. Nothing but a waiting game.

      I have an rrsp and company pension with the financial side of sunlife, and I called them with an urgent matter, to stop taking a large percentage of my pay cheque. 3 separate people took my calls, promised me emails to confirm the issue is being dealt with and still nothing has been done. They just keep taking money. I asked for supervisors and was denied. I asked for emails, call backs, anything to pursue recourse if the call fails to fix the problem.I used to recommend my co-workers use these investment opportunities, but now that I know how poor the customer service is I will be steering everyone to an in-person investment firm with a better ranking.

      I was told by this last contact that I should have been told to seek assistance from my payroll department. If I had been given that advice 2 weeks ago then this financial stress would have turned out fine. However my complaints are about the staggeringly terrible customer service, lack of communication and refusal to get me in touch with a supervisor to promptly handle my concerns. Do better Sunlife. I hope the training discussed in our talk leads to better customer service in the future.

      Do not sign up with them , I religiously paid for std and *** for over 6 years never needed their service until November 17 2021. All ***************** notes were submitted my doctor even spoke to them. I yet havent got paid . Emails, calls were done from my end & Im still waiting for a phone call with A FAIR resolution.

      November, 2021, I noticed Sun Life had taken $266 from my bank account. I reviewed my bank statements, and noted they had taken $266 for October, 2021, payment. When I signed the consent, for coverage starting 1/1/2021, I authorized them to automatically deduct funds from my checking account in the amount of $156, no more and no less. . After noticing they took out more than I had authorized them to do so, I contacted our company corporate office and they were advised, by Sun Life representative, that my policy had been cancelled 7/2/2021, and yet they continued to withdraw money from my account from 7/1/2021 to 11/32021. I did not cancel my insurance and they cannot tell me why it was cancelled. The representative from my company was in touch with them, on my behalf. She felt she wasn't getting anywhere with them, so she provided me an email for me to get in touch with them.I have been going back and forth to have my money refunded. The amount of $255 was refunded back into my account 12/2021.I have been told, more than once, "the check is in the mail," and there was never any check.Yesterday, I got a normal envelope in the mail and inside this envelope were 2 money orders. One a Money Gram money order and the other a ******* money order. One was for $110 and some change and the second one was for $155 and some change. Why money orders were sent, I do not know.These are the amounts they took from my bank account:8/16/2021 $155.76 9/16/2021 $155.76 10/18/2021 $266.46 11/16/2021 $266.46 (Returned back into my account)I did not put a stop payment due to I had no idea my policy had stopped. Again, I did not know until the woman from our company's corporate office told me. I don't know why they are not refunding me the whole amount they took out from my bank account. Money they had no authorization to be deducting after my policy was cancelled.I will be talking to my bank to see if I can pursue criminal charges because they stole money from me and are refusing to return all of my money. Their practices are a scam and unlawful.

Our review of Ms. ********** issues determined that while she was previously insured by Sun Life through her employer, the accounting concerns that she raised are misdirected to Sun Life. Through our investigation, we have determined that Ms. ********** premium bank drafts were handled by her employers payroll vendor.
