Before we sold this vehicle to ******************* we ran and auto check that showed no accidents, We performed a safety check of the vehicle to check for any safety and frame damage on the vehicle. We originally sold the vehicle when it was new and serviced it up till the time that ******************** purchased it from us and we did not do any bodywork to the vehicle. When we do a safety inspection we do not pull off bumpers to see if any thing might have been painted underneath.Customer response

I purchased a 2022 Toyota RAV4 from Toyota of ****** in ******, ** and took possession of it on 10/1/2022. Since I reside in MA, I had to get a MA emissions test done. I took the vehicle to Wellesley Toyota on 10/1/2022 to get the emissions test done. They performed the test and after I got home, a family member pointed out that the front bumper was cracked and the paint was scratched. The damage could only have occurred at Wellesley Toyota because the car was in perfect condition when I left ****** and this was the only place I took it. I have been calling and emailing the dealership, but they are giving me the run around and I need help getting it resolved. The dealership is claiming that the vehicle came in damaged and that it was documented, but have not provided any evidence. The invoice from the emissions test does not indicate any damage (because there wasn't any). I've attached photos of the damage as well as the odometer which prove I went straight home after the emissions test (62 miles on the car leaving the dealership and 64 miles on the odometer as of 7pm on 10/1). I've also included a timeline of events thus far and email correspondence between the Service Manager and myself. I want Toyota of Wellesley to fix the damage that they caused.Business response

I did respond I call the phone number on the complaint and left a message. We have already repaired her vehicle at no charge to her and she has the vehicle back already and driving it. Not quite sure why it says to leave a voice mail and then I get this email. Please let me know.
