Boston Solar has a great presentation and are extremely knowledgeable. However, they are by far the most expensive and I don't see the added value in their inflated prices. They pride themselves on customer service yet, price ***** more than the other 4 companies I met with. ******* I worked with also belittled other companies in an unprofessional manner saying the other quotes received were laughable. They also say they offer a Veteran discount but it can't be applied to any other discounts so essentially the answer is no... they do not provide a Veteran discount. I was hoping to move forward with them but unfortunately was extremely disappointed. I highly advice others to shop around so you don't end up paying thousands too much.

Boston Solar was great when we were shopping around for a photovoltaic (solar panel) installation vendor. Everything through the sales and installation phases went well. However, the moment after the panels were installed, everything went downhill from there. It took forever before the system went live. Granted, part of this was the utility company having to install their meter, but the lack of communications and responsiveness from Boston Solar was disheartening. Our system finally went live, but weve had an issue since then and although it has been a few months, we still dont have the issue resolved and their lack of responding to even very basic questions makes me think they dont care any longer because they already got our money. This is not the way to treat customers if you want good word-of-mouth. Honestly, I had no complaints with the sales process and the installation of the system itself. Its everything that has followed since (or lack thereof) that forces me to give them two stars, and I think even thats generous. Its really too bad because I would have given them five stars if they had just continued treating us the same way they did through the sales process and up to installation of the system.
