I purchased a custom golf cart from Tyler that says he owns and operates Fast Lane Custom Carts but I cannot find his business being an actual business and clams to sell hundreds of carts and it’s mostly cash sales. He dropped my cart off at my house last night and it looked great but after he left and I started to put my accessories on I had to do a bunch of things to fix it like moving the roof, tightening loose bolts especially ones on the brand new rear seat that was 800 dollars on my golf cart. I’m glad I looked it over before having my kids rode on the back and risk falling off. Also when he installed my back seat he fabricated underneath which know took the integrity of the construction away from it because he said he had to tighten a bolt up and could not get to it and the bolt was not designed to be tightened up and after talking with him on these issues he insulted me and would not give me my money back for the cart and said he would replace the bottom section he damaged but I have to take it apart and drive a hr to pick up new part and come and put it on myself. This is piss poor customer service. The price was 8550 and that included delivery. I don’t think the guy is even reporting what he is making because it’s all cash sales pretty much and the guy smelled like marijuana when he delivered it. Please call me to discuss. I’m not happy and have never reported anybody in my life but this is wrong. And he told me it was a 2014 and it’s a 2013.Business response

Hi, I'm sorry for this delayed response as I just received a letter from the BBB on Friday 2-10, and knew nothing about this complaint prior to.
I'm not sure what the pictures that this gentlemen sent were of, other than where we had to slightly modify the underneath of the step on the backseat which does not pose a safety hazard. And I also don't know why he said the things that he reported that he did. This gentlemen purchase this golf cart from the business that my son and I own and it is called Fast Lane Custom Carts. We dropped the golf cart off to this gentlemen and he was very happy with the golf cart. As you can clearly see from the picture that he sent, it is a very nice golf cart, in like new condition. The golf cart is a 2014, even though the sticker on the golf cart says 2013, it is a 2014. It was produced in late 2013, and was not available for sale until 2014. If we were trying to sell him an older golf cart than what he was told, when the golf cart was painted we could have easily removed the ugly sticker "that I would rather remove honestly". We purposely leave those stickers on the golf carts so that customers know what year golf cart they are purchasing. Again, I don't know why this gentlemen said that we wanted him to drive an hour to pick up a new part for the golf cart, because I have attached a picture that proves other wise. We offered to drive the new part to him and even put it on for him. We have tried to make this customer happy, but apparently that's not possible. During phone conversations after purchasing the golf cart, he never mentioned about any loose bolts, or smelling like marijuana or any of the things that he said in his complaint, he only was concerned with the underside of the rear step being modified and we explained as to why that had to be done. Again, he was not happy with our answer, and we still offered to bring him another step but he never reached back out to us, and then we received this complaint.
Thank you,

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:As you can see in the messages, he lied about offering to deliver the part to fix this. He wanted me to pick up the part and install it which I even told him I would, but he never offered to deliver or ship it instead, he said, if I want the piece they screwed up. I have to come get it end of discussion. As far as him writing it in the text message that was clearly added somehow because I attached pictures of the original text and there was no response below my last text messages. As far as the bill of sale, it clearly states it's a 2013 but upon delivery I didn't look that close to the paper because it is just a receipt that shows how much and who sold it to me and didn't think he would lie about the year. After going over the cart is when I noticed the bolts on the seat were never tightened and where the seat flips down to make a cargo area the screws are stripped out so if I ever had to remove it or tighten the seat, I can't even get the screws out to replace them. Also, the lift kit that was installed on the front two tires. The bolts were loose nor was it ever greased and this could've been a bad situation if the tire fell off. I have never filed a complaint and don't like to be that person but the cart was poorly put together and the customer service should've been a much better outcome. I know he offered for me to come pick up the seat platform where your feet sit because that's the part, he butchered up but with the screws stripped under the seat, I feel he should send me a whole new cart seat or refund me the price of the seat which I have attached pictures to show the price. I don't think as a customer I should be left with a brand-new seat that was modified supposedly to make it work and I was never notified. The plastic to the platform is very thick and where he cut it out on each side was right at a brace which I feel is taking the integrity of the platform away. Since I took ownership, I have thoroughly gone over the entire cart to make sure it is 100% safe to operate and the area he left butchered up which was sharp, rigid pieces of plastic. I filed down and cleaned up the two areas to at least make it look better and not cause a safety concern if a kid or someone reached underneath to grab something. I hope for future customers these carts are looked over much better, because not everyone is mechanically inclined, and for the price of the carts he sells them they should be 100% safe, and ready to go. Also, I do not want anyone from his business showing up to my property but I will except a check written out to myself ******* ***** and mailed to me or a new cart seat shipped to me since he has my address already this should not be an issue. Thank you for my concerns and your help to resolve this situation. Outlook for iOS
Sincerely,

Hi,
I have been trying to respond to Mr ******* last comment for several days now, but have not been able to. I left 2 messages for Lisa Clay with the necessary information and have not received a return call. I decided to check this website today to see if anything changed and apparently it has and I'm able to respond to Mr ******* last comment.
The text message that I provided was a text conversation between my son and Mr *****. The date and time are right there in the screenshot of the text messages. My son offered to bring Mr ***** a new footrest sometime the week that the golf cart was purchased, but Mr ***** did not respond. Mr ***** said that the messages were altered and my son lied. There is no way to alter a text message sir. That conversation took place and neither me or my son are lying. The modification that had to be made on the underside of the footrest does not take away from the integrity of the strength. It was not BUTCHERED up, it was clearly modified so that the side bolt could be tightened. The concern of a kid reaching their hand under the footrest and injuring themselves is very unlikely, and if a kid did reach their hand under the golf cart anywhere they are taking a chance of injuring themselves in the same way. Mr ***** continues to add in more and more things as he continues to respond, and it is not appreciated that he is telling such lies and blowing all of this out of proportion.
The truth is, the text conversation that I submitted is a real text message between my son and Mr ***** and has not been altered in any way. For some reason Mr ***** wants to submit all these untruthful things about our company and the product he received. The facts are, Mr ***** received a great golf cart in excellent condition and he was not happy with the part of plastic that we had to cut from the underside of the footrest, we offered to bring him a brand new footrest and by not answering we took that as he was declining and did not want it. We tried to work with Mr ***** prior to even finding out that he reported these false accusations to BBB. At this time we will not be refunding Mr ***** for the entire backseat or for any other parts on the golf cart.
Thank you,
