I contacted Stan From Baltimore Appliance Repair via text on 2/6/23 to request their assistance with an oven display at my rental property. The oven display was working but had split out of the frame on the oven. He quoted $100 for the service call plus the additional diagnostic to fix the issue. They immediately sent me payment options which included only **** ***, *****, and *****. This did not seem to be professional. I confirmed with them that the 100 service fee would be deducted from the total work if I opted to use them for the repair. He quoted be $275 plus $100 for the service call for total of $375 which was absurd considering it was just reattaching the display and nothing electric or requiring new parts. I expressed my shock to Stan. I said I would not pay such an overpriced quote. He offered to lower it to 300. I said 250 was the highest I would pay to reattach the display. He agreed to the work and I paid him via ***** immediately. On March 1, less than 30 days from the original work the display was no longer attached, but the electronically it was still working. I contacted Stan multiple times explaining that the work was not satisfactory and asked that they return at their convenience to repair and stand by their work. They are not responding to any communication. They have a 1 star rating on Google and now I know why. They are unprofessional **** artist that are overcharging, lying, and taking advantage of people while providing low-quality work. I would like to be reimbursed for this work so I may source someone else to handle the repair.
