Took a car to them for the Maryland state test, it had a misfire on cylinder one that would intermittently make the car stop accelerating at 23mph. Drove it into a mechanics the following day after this Place passed it and they told me outright that it was a safety issue and never should have passed. The car is in my husband's name so all the documents are but he works nights so I am submitting this: his name is **** *************** - he is a veteran of the army

Hello to whole it may concern . State inspection does not included the engine issues or transmission issues if the vehicle I am attaching the state guidelines picture .if it has the misfire it require spark plugs or ignition coils not part of state inspection .state inspection only included the safety of the vehicle not the vehicle engine health that is up to the buyer of the car to test drive and make sure no check engine light is on thanks .

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The list of things to check during a vehicle inspection includes "Battery & Elect. Wiring - Mounting, Damage, Connection, Excessive Corrosion (All Vehicles)"; electrical wiring also includes damage or corrosion to the spark plugs and coils. It also states that the test drive must include check for "Undesirable Steering or Handling Reactions" and the car being unresponsive to the gas pedal and sticking at 23mph is a very undesirable handling reaction. The same document also says that the inspection should include "Exhaust System (Audibly and Visually), Presence, Condition, Leaks" which means you would have heard the misfire when starting the car and should have noted it.

      (Source: ****************).

Also the mechanic in the shop where i had to have the spark plugs and coils replaced told me outright that the car should not have passed the safety inspection with that misfire present as the car not accelerating when required to is a safety issue and the car could have stopped completely at any time while being driven.

      Sincerely,

      ******* ***************

Is your mechanic is state inspection station I believe he is not . And also please try to understand this we have state regulation we can only check the presence and condition check engine or misfire is not part of the inspection. We can deal with the problem if you tell us that check engine light is on .that failed by emission test facility by state called VEIP .so again please this is our guidelines from state I apologize for any inconvenience that you have faced .

This is an invoice #XXXXXX dated on the 04/11/2022, for the amount of $323.47, for my vehicle service work which was not done or completed by the owner who is the mechanic himself. My Grey Nissan Pathfinder had a mechanical issue on the 8th of April at home, while trying to go to work and experienced the issue of vibration underneath of the car, which slows it down from moving in a running drive gear properly. Long matter short, I was referred to the this Precision tune auto care, by one Muhammed a mechanic himself who worked on my vehicle in the past at another place. According to him (the Precision tune auto care owner and mechanic, he ran diagnostic and fixed the problem which was the crankshaft position sensor was damaged. Diagnostic fees of $79.99, part / 1 crankshaft sensor cost $127.99 and labor cost $ 159.50. To anyone who hear or read this complaint after going through of the breakdown of my vehicle, rental car which I am still having or using, and the rude and unprofessional behavior on the part the owner / precision tune auto care will make anyone wonder what in the world.... Having mentioned all of the above, I picked up my vehicle on the 9th of April and only to breakdown again with the same problem excessive shaking or vibrating's, which slows the car and traffic completely. I could not get him on the phone for the inconvenience / trauma he caused me, even though it was still around 4pm eastern time and his shop was still open. Anyway I paid for another tow to his shop on the 11th of April around 9am or so, only to threatened the tow truck driver to not drop the vehicle off his property. He went on to say to the tow truck driver that I was crazy and he has nothing to do with my car any longer. Can you imagine a repair work under les than 24hr that couldn't drive fix to begin with, and say that I refused to pay another diagnostic fees and that's why he will not work on the car. Currently, I am in procession of his invoice which I can mail

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/18) */ Yes I have received the vehicle to his old mechanic name Muhammed he came in with the check engine light on and car has shaking problem we have diagnosed the vehicle using our OBD TOOL find the problem which was crank shaft position sensor we fixed the problem and car was fine test drive and checked he was unable to pick up the car told me to hold for a day which the shop hold it under servilance cameras . We fixed the car then he sent a car on a toe truck calling the shop with disrespectful manner and keep hanging the phone on mohsan . Mohsan who is the owner and manager of the store told him we going to diagnose the problem if it's the problem related to the work we performed we will not charge you but he was not willing to listen and keep hanging the phone on us the toe truck was still at the lot we did not get clear ans what he wants to do we have not said anything to the truck driver at all . He called the toe truck driver and let him moved we fixed and rechecked his car he signed the repair order we have the video evidence also . I will include the statement where he was abusive on the phone without reason cursing and swearing . We can't help a person who looking for a fight instead of fixing the car .and we have not charge him the diagnostics as he claims first time I am including the invoice with the statement Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/20) */ Greetings! My rebuttal! Let me begin with by saying thank you, he (Mr. ****** # XXX-XXX-XXXX) did not state the facts in his action, He is dishonest to himself and the bureau who can even help him in this matter. First and foremost, let me state here clearly by pointing out his dishonesty in his response. He should have mentioned the following people who happened to play a role, one way or the other. 1. 1st CH Patrick with phone # (XXX) XXX-XXXX the towing company / operator of the truck that towed my car on the morning of the 13th of April (Wednesday). Even the operator /coordinator on duty for (2) ***** garage in Baldwin Maryland, can attest to Mechanic ****** (XXX-XXX-XXXX) rude, aggressive behaviour on that morning. He even went to say and I quote according to the tow truck driver, that he shouldn't drop my car off on his lot that morning, and he can do anything he (******) wants because it is his property. (3) Mr. James ***** (XXX) XXX-XXXX, my manager who I have reported this matter to initially, and his advice which led me to contact BBB to begin with. Mr. Woods was able to understand my plight, and also worked with me in accepting me going into work late due to Mr. ******'s action.. Mr. Wood also helped take some personal time out (PTO) due to the unforeseen circumstances (rental) I am going through currently. The fact that he lied to mentioned to you the bureau that, I he took his action or refused to allow my car to be dropped off and work on again / properly was, because I did not wanted to gave credence / accept to pay for another diagnostic as he (******) wanted me to accept on the phone. He should have known that the problem for which I took it there to be fixed, was not resolved to begin with in just less than 24hrs time. Mr. ****** is also not telling the truth about the action he took which is misleading, due to me hanging up our conversation on the phone. I guess he forgot that his co-worker / my former mechanic (Muhammed) who told me about the location to begin with, called on that morning to advise him to let the vehicle be dropped off and not refusing to. I also guess that he (******) forgot that refusing to accept the very car he worked on was brought back in less than 24hrs should have claimed his attention, even though we both had a disagreement on the phone about another diagnostic fee of $79 to be paid prior to accepting my car. Should he be reminded that he spoke with the *************************** driver and asked to hold on dropping the car off, while he talked to me? Mr. ****** just did not caused me unnecessary expensive of $ 225 in towing from my place in Belcamp, MD to his Precision auto tune on 3329 belair road there and back just for another diagnostic fees, but he also cased me a days of rental car to work, and the emotional trauma that I am going through at the result of such a disadvantage he took on me. It is sad and painful to say that he was rude to even the poor innocent tow truck driver, who was just carrying on his instruction from his boss. to drop a customer car off at his location. Please don;t just take my word for it, but please contact these folks to help you prove either one of us wrong in this matter. The driver even expressed his concern to me when I drove in a rental to meet up with him on Blair road, to have him pay and take my vehicle to another shop. He even mentioned to me, how Mr. ****** came out to him after our conversation of disagreement of diagnostic fee which he Mr. Patrick the towing Company driver has nothing to do with, aggressively and said to him that I was stupid and foolish. I don;t think anyone deserves such treatment by astoting almost $600 out of me, the vehicle is not repaired, causing me extra rental expense and want to get away with it or defend such unprofessional business ethics under the law? For the matter of fact, his co-worker / my former mechanic (Muhammed) called me today and asked , Mr. ******, that I have caused the government (BBB) to start investigating him. Muhmmed went on to say that ****** asked him to beg me to not cause any problem for him. I did not promise Muhammed that either, because ****** seems to believe that his action was ok and he doesn;t care about the outcome. By the way, who knows how many people he has done the same to and did noy report it? Who even knows who else is in line to be treated in such an inhumane way, if he goes uncheck or corrected? To be honest, I will want some kind of reimbursement of some of the total expense or all of it, because I took my vehicle to another shop completely. and I do not want him to work on my vehicle again. His unprofessional behaviour towards me has caused even his friend and coworker to leave his shop, due to the way He treated me. Muhammed was and is embarrassed by ****** of Precision Auto Tune Belair Rd. towards me. Thank you for your undivided attention, in taking the time to read this rebuttal Respectfully yours, *********** ******* **************************************************
