The work was originally performed in 2010. Water proofing I was told would last a lifetime. This contract does not state otherwise. Water is coming up from the cracks in the floor and I would like the problem fixed. I have left messages, and have not received a return call. They did come out earlier this year when they thought they would be replacing the sump pump, however the pump works, but not to keep the water from seeping thru these cracks that follow the waterproofing that was performed. I just want the water issue resolved, and another company will not handle it because they don't use the same system that Advance used. I also noticed that when I measured the area did not cover as many feet as noted in the contract. I need the water issue fixedBusiness response

We're sorry Ms ****** is having issues with her waterproofing. Unfortunately, Advance Remodeling is unable to assist her at this time. Our contracts do include three-year workmanship warranties, but we are well beyond the three year warranty period.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I was told water proofing is life time.
This contract does not say 3 years , anywhere.
When such extensive digging and cementing, I have never heard of 3 year limit for waterproofing

ON 3-9-2021 I HIRE ADVANCE REMODELING TO REPLACE UPSTAIRS SQUEAKING FLOORS. THREE MONTHS LATER THE FLOORS START TO SQUEAK AGAIN. I CALL ADVANCE REMODELING TALK TO MISS JOYCE SHE SAID SHE WILL CALL ME BACK.I HAVE CALL SEVERAL TIMES AFTER AND WAS TOLD THE WORK WILL BE DONE IN NOVEMBER OR DECEMBER.THE WORK WAS DONE. AND NOW THE SQUEAKS ARE BACK. SO, I CALL ADVANCE REMODELING ON 5/11/2022 AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WILL CALL ME BACK. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM. (RESOLUTION) I WOULD LIKE A REFUND OF $2000.00 SO THAT I CAN HAVE THE FLOORS REPAIR.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/05/27) */ Mr **** is correct that Advance Remodeling entered into a contract with him on 3/9/21, however, the contract did not include installation of all new floors. The contract stated that Advance Remodeling would repair Mr ****'s existing floors to eliminate squeaking, which Advance Remodeling did to the extent possible. Moreover, Advance Remodeling sent people back to Mr ****'s home in July 2021 and again in December 2021 to do additional minor work (at no additional cost) since Mr **** was unsatisfied with his floors still squeaking. Advance Remodeling regrets that Mr **** is unsatisfied, but it is extremely difficult to completely eliminate all squeaking on a hardwood floor, which was communicated verbally to Mr **** on multiple occasions. Consequently, Advance Remodeling does not agree to Mr ****'s demand for a refund. I don't accept advance remodeling or ************************ response due to as we started this work. they said that the whole floor had to be taken out for it to be done right.so when they did the floor the first time and the second time, it still was not done right then that means the floors was not done right either time. the floors are squeaking in the same area.do I supposed to pay contractor for a job that they said they can do and get nothing out of it. I'm open for another solution. and as for calling him, he never in the office. Our crew also returned to Mr ****'s home on two separate occasions after job completion to work with him on further reducing squeakiness. We do not agree with giving a refund, but we can send Wayne out one last time to see what can be done. Mr **** will hear either from our office or from Wayne (or Terry) directly.
