Worst inspection experience ever!! I was charged well above the average rate to inspect a small SUV, $225. They wanted to charge me over $3500 for parts and $1000 labor to do the work. Their parts were more expensive than Honda OEM so I'm wondering where they were sourcing them from. For example, they were charging almost $1000 for parts that ended up costing less than $200 from the Honda dealer. This place is should not be in business. It's downright **********

      Dear Ms. ****,
Thank you for allowing The Tire Network to Maryland Inspect your vehicle, we appreciate it very much. Unfortunately, your vehicle had defects that did not meet Maryland’s minimum safety standards as set forth in the Maryland code of regulations. These findings were confirmed and substantiated by our state police station supervisor. We hope you understand that older vehicles like yours, specifically this 2005 Honda CRV with 198000 miles seldom pass an initial inspection. Fortunately, these serious defects were caught, which is in the best interest of public safety. We understand that no one likes to fail inspection, but at the time of your car’s inspection it was unsafe. If you feel that the state inspection process is too strict, then we recommend contacting your State Senator and Delegates. If you believe your car should have been in better shape when you bought it, perhaps you should discuss that with the previous owner/ seller. As for repair times, we are a very busy shop, so we do have to schedule work in order properly serve everyone. Please rest assured that you received a good inspection.

This place is a complete waste of time and money. Save yourself the hassle and find another place, especially if you are a female and/or needing a vehicle inspection. I honestly don't know how they are an authorized inspection station and should absolutely be reported. I scheduled an appointment for an inspection as I'd recently moved from out of state. I showed up at the scheduled time and they had no record of my appointment. This is when I should have walked away, but they said they could get me in and that it would be 2.5 - 3 hours so I made the unfortunate decision to proceed. EIGHT hours and several phone calls later I am standing outside of their window because they had not called that my vehicle was finished and it was near their closing time. The vehicle did not pass inspection, which was ok because it's an older model and I understand Maryland has a very stringent standard for registering out of state vehicles. What was not ok was the excessive amount of repairs that were mansplained to me as though I am just an ignorant female that will believe and pay for anything I am told. I was promised an estimate for the repairs that were allegedly necessary would be sent to me the following Monday and SURPRISE, over a month later and I still have not received an estimate. I went to a more reputable shop where again, my vehicle failed inspection, however the repairs were fair and legitimate and within 4 hours they had my vehicle repaired and inspection passed. Save yourself and go elsewhere to begin with!

Joe is a bad businessman man. Him and his crew are racists. He had me come to his place of business 3 times. Yesterday he told me to come back today at 7 so he could move things around. Well he didn't arrive until 9 and when asked about the time arrangements, he took offense and would not let me in the bay with my truck and trailer which is almost as long as a tractor trailer. Needless to say my truck was damaged and the police had to come to the seen and he's actually the person who told me to direct this to the BBB. He denied us service. He obviously couldn't do the inspection that's why he had us running back to him for 3 days. He could have told us yesterday that he couldn't or didn't want to do it. That's what men do. Obviously Joe and his counterpart at the building aren't men. Men stand on they word and good business.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

      To whom it May Concern,

The Tire Network, Inc. provides certified Maryland state inspections to the public everyday as required by law. In this particular case, the trailer in question did not have a vehicle identification number (VIN) which is required in order to perform an inspection. Although it is not the responsibility of TTN, Inc. to provide advice on matters such as these, it did, in good faith explain to its customer how to obtain a VIN. As for all other assertions made against TTN, Inc. and or its staff, they are blatantly false and defamatory. TTN, Inc has a duty to keep the public safe by providing lawful, thorough, Maryland state inspections and it will continue to do so even if it means getting a bad review.
