**** from Righttime Plumbing came Monday March 6, 2023 at about 930 am. He initially tried to tell me to return the faucet I had already purchased and buy one from him instead. Later he realized that the faucet he was trying to sell wouldn't fit so he agreed to go with the one I had bought. After removing the old faucet and putting the new one in place but before connecting it to the valves on hot and cold water pipelines, he said he recommends the valves be replaced though they're not giving any problem. He said they might leak sometime. He said he would charge me $150 per valve additional (total $300 additional) - in addition to the $199 I had already agreed to pay him to replace the kitchen faucet. I said that he already has both valves open and this relates to the same job he had come for so he should charge me parts plus additional labor for this additional job. He said no, his company wants him to charge a flat rate even if he is already here and already has the valves open. He said each valve (which he already had with him) cost $20 each. When I said his cost is exorbitant, he reduced the additional price for replacing the valves to $125 then to $110 and to $80 finally **** asked me how much was I willing pay him I said no I didnt like the way he has been discussing about the additional cost so I dont want the additional Job done. He connected the new faucet lines and left but soon after that I realized that one valve was leaking slowly. I tried to tighten it but the leak continues. So I tried calling **** but he didnt pick up his phone and the voice mail said his inbox is full so I couldnt leave a msg. I called his office number and explained what had happened to a lady who picked up. Later **** called and we spoke but he said he wouldnt come unless I were willing to pay him an additional $160.The leak is still there damaging the cabinet and the floors. I would like Rema to pay for the damages and costs.
