I have a health insurance policy that is written out of state and there was some confusion about whether this Medstar PT location is in-network or out-of-network for. When attempting to sort out this issue, the administrative staff was extremely rude to me and not willing to work with me to get the issue cleared up. All they had to do was hop on a call with the ****** ****** **** ******'s provider line and member services line... a 3 way call that United wouldn't facilitate without the provider. MedStar PT in Dundalk refused. I've spent time getting this squared away on my end with ****** ****** **** ******. They spoke to MedStar PT in Dundalk in detail to assure them that I am in-network for their facility. They sent a letter confirming this. MedStar PT in Dundalk are refusing to see me because my policy was written out of state. I have Long Covid and I've been suffering for 8 months... this office is aware of this as I was working with them before my insurance switched from Aetna to United Healthcare. PT is a very important part of my recovery. I was informed that a provider can refuse to see a patient for any reason, even if their insurance is in network. The office manager here treated me like an idiot and was completely uncaring, even when I was pleading for assistance in getting the issue worked out because PT will help me recover. It was crazy

Unfortunately Med-star did not bill the service to our regular Blue Cross insurance. They just kept sending the bill. There was no answer as to why they did not bill Blue Cross??
The medical staff at the Urgent Care facility at **** ******** *** Bethesda location were not very helpful.
They charged way more than an emergency department would charge, but the level of service was low. Are they really competent?
My recommendation to family and friends: do not use Med-star if you can find an alternative.

Zero stars Rude Cumbersome system Will tell everyone NOT to use medstar urgent care

The med star family center now, which was Ft. Lincoln family is very unresponsive and unprofessional at the front end. The lack of respect and ethics lack with all of the staff in the reception area unless you call them out on their conduct. It's unfortunate because the doctors are very professional and caring unlike the front end. This is unacceptable because we as patients are the reason they are in the position. They leave you hold on for more than 30 minutes , and show no compassion for your needs that aren't even met to their lack of assistance.

I have been dealing w/ anxiety for years now I been going to MedStar I was seeing Dr C. and behavior specialist name Claudia both extremely rude and unprofessional I never got the help I needed. I called to 3x and ask to speak to the dr or for her to call me back the lady at the front desk name Bony hung up on me. I called on a Monday to speak to their practice manager Tuesday they discharged me without any explanation. If you ask me it was retaliation for complaining on the lady that hung up on me when I needed help. Never again will I go to any MedStar practice and those lady's do a horrible job. I am during for discrimination.
