Patuxent Publishing Company prints a weekly newspaper called the Columbia Flier. This newspaper is delivered to various communities in Columbia, MD every Thursday by a person in a van throwing the paper, enclosed in a plastic bag, into individual driveways. My complaint is that this is a very environmentally unfriendly business practice. Moreover, in many cases, these newspapers are strewn carelessly around neighborhood yards and streets, creating clutter. I do not subscribe to this newspaper, nor have I ever requested to receive it. From my perspective, throwing it on my property without my consent amounts to littering. I want the company to stop the delivery of the physical paper. At a bare minimum, I do not want it thrown on my property.Business response

The local Distributor and Distribution office have been notified to cease all deliveries to your residence, going forward. Also, thank you for your feedback regarding the placement of the free deliveries to your residence and neighborhood. This will be reviewed, and the proper course of action will be taken. The newspaper published has not resolved this situation despite my sending multiple emails kindly requesting to suspend delivery. I consider this an environmentally unfriendly practice, and it is inconvenient for me to have to keep picking these up. The publisher has contacted and said they asked the delivery person to comply with my request, but they have not done so. Thank you.
