In May of 2021 we hired them to come lightly power wash out less than 1 yr old deck and seal it. He sent someone out after numerous attempts to get a date on the books starting May 11th. His employee over washed our deck causing the wood to splinter so bad you could touch it. His employee proceeded to spray a seal on both deck surfaces, sealing in dirt and dog hair. Leaving drip marks, spray my windows and siding. Called and he sent someone out to look, they agreed terrible job was done. 3rd Employee came back to correct the problem, had to hand sand 2 decks and hand seal the entire deck, said it should last about 2 years. The deck was marbled and looked completely different from the what it looked like at start. Contacted them in April to come look at how bad it looks and possibly correct the mess. Deck isn't 2 yrs old, looks 10. Owner Joe will not acknowledge my messages but will dispute in a FB review that I am lying and we had other contractors come out to do work, also blames my pool water. Has posted pictures that he says is what my deck looked like when they left but it is actually what my deck looked like before he came. I sent the pictures to give him an idea of the size of my area he would be working on. He himself has never come out even after I asked multiple time. I now have to pay someone else to come fix the problem and I am being told it is going to be expensive. I am planning to take him to small claims court. My deck cost 12k to build.

      05/05/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/03) */ We were hired by the customer on 5/11/21 to clean & clear seal her rear wood deck. On 5/13/21 the customer text us pictures of concerns regarding her deck and we returned on 5/22/21 and spent 5 hours resolving the customers concerns. The concerns were mostly that there were splinters on the deck which the customer stated were not there prior to us cleaning & sealing her deck. Pictures were taken both before & after we returned to address the customers concerns. The customer was satisfied with our efforts and thanked us for coming back to address her concerns. We were again contacted in April of 2022 indirectly from the customer through our ******** page where the customer stated she was going to hire someone else to redo her deck because she was not satisfied with the results from our work in 2021. I explained to the customer that her outdoor wood was in the outdoor elements and her wood will weather & will need to be cleaned & sealed on a regular basis. We did not provide a performance warranty for the service (express or implied). I sent after pictures to the customer which have been time & date stamped showing what the deck looked like on 5/22/21 after we spent 5 additional hours doing our best to please the customer. We feel we made a good faith effort in 2021 to resolve the customers concerns and to please the customer to the best of our ability in a timely manner. There is nothing further we owe this customer. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/05/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Joe the owner was very accommodating in trying to resolve the problem when it happened but i asked fot himtl to come look in person and he justkept sending other people so honestlyje really no clue what it looked like, his employees agreed with me and recognized that the original person over washed my deck. His response to this situation is nor accurate and only makes him look good and me look insane. He only responded to the 1 star review o gave his company because he refused to acknowledge the private messages I sent him asking him to come and make the situation right. We have reached out to another company for an estimate to correct the situation and they told us that it would cost 5500.00. Joe claims I had someone else come do work which isn't true. He also blames my pool water but the pool was here and it doesn't go to the top deck so that's ridiculous and we were told 2 years before we should have to do anything more to the deck. I have never in my life filed a complaint about any company or contractor so this isn't just me being a bitter customer. I am upset because my deck looks 10 years old and it isn't even 2. He claims we contacted him on May 5th and he was here by May 11th, we contacted him in April and it took until May for him to give us an actual date. He can claim whatever he wants, I have proof and I have enough people who have seen my deck to testify that he is not telling the truth. I don't waste my time and energy filing false claims. He came highly recommended by family and his company has all 5 star reviews but unfortunately he was over booked his employee because he kept putting us off on booking us. At this point I want him to acknowledge he was wrong and that mistakes were made instead of acting as if I'm crazy. He is making assumptions and he could have just called me and worked this out as a good business owner. His own employees do not think highly of him at all. That speaks volumes. I will attach text screenshots of his correspondence with my husband and pictures if what my deck looked like after his employee destroyed it the 1st time, I will also attach a photo of what it looked like before his company came out. If he didn't think he the seal was the right one for my situation he should have recommended something different so this situation never happened. I have more files to submit but there is no room. Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2022/05/03) */ We do not owe anything else to this customer. We have after pictures that are dated & timed stamped from 5/24/21. These pictures were taken took of the deck after we resolved the customer concerns. The deck looked exactly the way it was supposed to look when we were finished our work. Our company has been restoring decks with an impeccable service record for nearly 20 years. Based on the pictures provided via ********, it is my opinion that someone else has worked on the deck that is in question since we did our work in May of 2021. We do not have a performance warranty to offer the customer. I have attached 2 after pictures taken by our team on 5/24/21 showing exactly how the deck looked when were finished this project.
