  Charm City Fire was contracted to install a new fire suppression system in our building in August 2023. The suppression system was installed in August 2023 with the knowledge that the last portion of the installation was an inspections with the Baltimore City Fire Dept. In August 2023 I was told the permits and inspection request had been issued and I would be notified when the inspection would happen. Since that date I have been in contact with them trying to get an update on this. The last communication I had with them was in January 2024 telling me they would check on the status of the inspection. Since that time I have not been able to get in touch with them via phone or email for any updates. It has been over 1 year and I still do not have my final inspection or required tags for my suppression system.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  I have finally spoked with Tony from Charm City Fire AFTER the complaint was filed not before.  Tony explained to me that he had been working the the Virginia office and a manager in the Baltimore office was not performing his duties which has resulted in our problems.  I told Tony that I did understand that sometimes this happened with employees.  I was informed by the Baltimore City Fire Department that our initial plans for the suppression system have not been properly submitted to them so no final inspection was pending.  Tony informed me that he would be back in the Baltimore office 2 weeks after we spoke to try to clear this up.  He was very unhappy about the BBB claim submitted and asked me to remove it.  I feel that I am not in a position to remove it at this time because we do not have any resolution except that he would look into the matter when he returned to Baltimore.  After waiting over 1 year to hear from someone from this company I am hesitant that I will hear of progress anytime soon.  I was also asked several times to remove the complaint if I wanted Tony to expedite this issue.  I do have email copies of these conversations if needed.  I will be happy to resolve this complaint after we have the final inspection done and the job is completed.
