The practice has provided unacceptable medical care for this past week. I have been on ADHD medication for 12 years. Last week I was informed by my pharmacy they were out of stock of my medication. I called every pharmacy in Frederick and they are all out of stock for my medication. I called the doctors office asking for them to switch me to a different prescription. It has been over a week and I no longer have medication and went into withdrawal. I have had to call the practice at least five times to request a change in medication. when I mentioned that I am having panic attacks they said they will make a note. I get asked the same question of what I want to do , I repeat myself asking for a medication switch. Then I am told they will call me back. They call back with same question and no game plan on changing on medication after 48 hours.This practice has expressed very minimal empathy or understanding that I went into withdrawal. When I left a message explaining this unacceptable medical treatment and once again requested a phone to come up with a game plan. I have not received a response. I do not believe nor does my therapist believe it is best practice to a leave a patient hanging without medication cold turkey. This past week the practice has seemed to have lost its ability to provide adequate medical to patients with ADHD and anxiety.
