They gave my dying cat another cats medication. I only realized that it was the wrong medication after administering a dose to my cat once I had already gotten home. my cat is having surgery in two days and that medication could have killed her. It was negligent. It was medication for constipation but she has a severe illness and that could still impact her health. I thought I had killed her. i had to drive all the way back to the facility to pick up the correct medication. nonetheless, make sure you’re giving the right medication to the right animal.

02/03/2022 Brought our dog Hank to the emergency vet bc he had been having collapsing spells all morning. As soon as we walked through the door their main concern was his breathing which is how he always breaths and was not our reasoning for the visit. The dr did X-rays and did blood work and told us Hank was "healthy for his age". Informed us she was unsure if Hanks collapsing spells were brain related or heart related but she would like to start him on medications overnight to try to rule out one or the other. As soon as she could tell we didn't want to leave him there overnight she became aggressive with an attitude. We were reluctant but decided to pay the 1300 bucks to leave him there overnight. They kept him in an oxygen chamber all night and gave him 3 doses of a sedative which they said was used for anxiety. One of the side effects being respiratory distress. They gave this to a dog who was already struggling to breath. At 6am Hank was picked up and was in worse shape than he had ever been. Only 15 hours after being dropped off he was on deaths door and was not in this condition upon entering the hospital. They said hank was going to die anyways. If that's the case why did they have us spend 1300 bucks rather than telling us it was better off to put hank down. Because he was no where near death until they got ahold of him. I would tell anybody and everybody not to ever even consider taking their pet here, not if they wish to keep them alive.
